Fashion Design Manager

Position Summary

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Responsible for giving design direction for the fashion season, attending overseas sourcing trips, and training and managing a team of fashion Designers.
  • Provide directions and ideas on all design issues including costing, fashion trend research on colors, fabrication and accessories, etc.
  • Oversee the fitting process and give supplier feedback
  • Follow up the entire workflow of the development from themes and concept, presentation of styling, sketches, fitting session and sampling
  • Coordinate and work closely with Buyers, Merchandisers and other related parties
  • Other tasks assigned by managing director
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Degree or Diploma holder in Fashion Design or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of fashion design experience
  • Strong awareness of market needs and fashion trend
  • Strong creativity with good fashion color sense and knowledge of seasonal trends, themes, color, materials, styling and fit
  • Self-motivated, energetic, creative, with good design sense and with the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in PC and Macintosh platforms, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, after effect
  • Excellent command in both spoken and written English
 
 

Senior Tax Officer

Position Summary

A Senior Tax Officer under the accounting department is responsible for working on tax activities including tax planning, tax compliance and preparation of corporate and personal tax returns.

The role of Tax Senior involves both advisory and compliance aspects. Tax Seniors must understand tax legislation, compliance with relevant laws and the impact this has on a business.Β They must also be commercially aware and able to identify opportunities to minimize corporate taxation and the personal tax bills of their clients.

  • Coordinate AP tax invoices with accountants
  • Meet deadlines for tax declarations (monthly tax, annual tax, etc.)
  • Understand, analyze, and process financial accounting data so that legal documents can be properly presented to GDT
  • Create a tax strategy and procedures to help the company maintain or improve its benefits
  • Recognize tax difficulties and recommend the most effective solutions

  • Under the direction of the Design Department Manager, identifying creative concepts, mood-boards, and trends for the incoming season
  • Create design tech packs for production of women apparel and accessories
  • Involve in fitting and communicating the fit comments to our local and overseas suppliers
  • Determine corrections to achieve fit by manipulating garment/accessories and/or pattern and flat technical sketches
  • Stay up to date with current trends, innovations and technologies as well as go above and beyond to create and source new concepts.

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in fashion design/product, ideally with training in Technical Design & Pattern-making
