Upper Primary National Programme Coordinator

The Upper Primary NP Coordinator plays a key leadership role within the National Programme, overseeing teaching, learning, and compliance processes across multiple campuses. This position ensures alignment with the Ministry of Education’s requirements and Harrods’ academic standards. The Coordinator serves as a bridge between the school, the Department of Education, and other government bodies, while also supporting teachers in curriculum delivery, documentation, and exam preparation.

- Leadership and Coordination
- Oversee daily academic operations for the Upper Primary NP section across assigned campuses.
- Support the Assistant Principal in monitoring teaching quality, curriculum implementation, and student learning outcomes.
- Coordinate planning and reporting with campus leads to ensure consistency and compliance across the NP.
- Mentor teachers and provide guidance on instructional practices aligned with Harrods’ academic framework.
- Ministry Liaison and Compliance
- Act as a primary liaison between Harrods and the Ministry of Education, Phnom Penh Municipal Office, and Department of Education.
- Prepare and submit required reports on student enrollment, staffing, and exam registration.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation for Ministry inspections and school accreditation visits.
- Manage applications and coordination for national examinations
- Administration and Communication
- Maintain clear records of all reports and correspondence submitted to government institutions.
- Support the Assistant Principal in facilitating collaboration with government and partner schools.
- Attend meetings, workshops, and capacity-building programs organized by the Ministry as Harrods’ representative.
- Assist with external projects and educational exchange programmes under the NP department.
- Required qualifications:
- To perform the essential duties to a satisfactory standard, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
- Education:
- Master’s, Bachelor’s, or Diploma in Education, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
- A Pedagogy Certification is desirable.
- Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in schools or educational institutions.
- Knowledge of teaching methodologies and pedagogy.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Strong verbal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word (certificate preparation), Excel (scoring systems), PowerPoint, Outlook, Google Forms, aSc Timetables, and internet-based tools.
- Proficiency in English across all four macro skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
- Familiarity with administrative work related to HIA, the Department of Education, and Commune Education.
- Strong coordination and relationship-building skills.
