Action for Development Organization (AFD) is a local, independent non-governmental organization established on February 23, 2004, and officially registered with the Ministry of Interior under Prakas No. 553 on May 3, 2006. Free from any religious, political, or individual ideology, AFD operates across Kampong Thom, Preah Vihear, Kampong Cham, and Siem Reap provinces. Its programs focus on natural resource management and climate change, disaster risk reduction and humanitarian response, social protection, agricultural development and value chain promotion, as well as the empowerment of women and youth leadership.

Currently, AFD is implementing the project “Cashew Agroecology Alliance for Sustainable Cashew Cultivation in Cambodia” (CHANTI) funded by the European Union (EU) and led by Ucoopia, in partnership with Action for Development (AFD) and Development and Partnership in Action (DPA). The project works with 23 Agricultural Cooperatives (ACs) representing smallholder farmers in Kampong Thom and Preah Vihear provinces, as well as local NGOs, multi-stakeholder platforms, and business associations engaged in the cashew value chain. Each civil society organization plays a distinct role in implementation.

To strengthen the capacity of ACs and enable them to effectively lead their cashew businesses, AFD is seeking a qualified training service provider to deliver two sessions of three-day training courses on Cashew Business Planning and Business Development – one session in Kampong Thom Province and one session in Preah Vihear Province.
