Training and Mentoring Coordinator
Report to : Operations Manager
Contract Duration: 12-month term, including a 3-month probation period, with the possibility of extension based on performance evaluation.
Job Summary:
The Training and Mentorship Program Officer implements entrepreneurship training and mentoring to support young entrepreneurs. They also collaborate with local implementing partners and entrepreneurship support institutions to support the development of a thriving startup ecosystem.
- Operate incubation and mentorship programs for agricultural startups
- Support the operation of mentoring activities, ensuring smooth coordination between mentors and participants.
- Identify and match mentors with startup teams while improving mentorship effectiveness
- Coordinate communication between mentors, mentees, and program staff, ensuring regular follow-up and timely issue resolution.
- Develop partnerships with government agencies and entrepreneurship support institutions
- Manage the allocation and monitoring of startup funding, and track the performance of startup teams
- Collect and analyze program data and participant feedback to evaluate performance
- Prepare regular reports and manage documentation related to program operations
- Manage program schedules, resources, and optimize operations to achieve objectives
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager and leadership team.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in agriculture, entrepreneurship, business development, education, youth development or a related field.
- More than 5 years of working experience in relevant fields preferably in entrepreneurship, youth development, or capacity-building programs
- Mentor experience is preferred.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills to manage multiple activities, schedules, and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage mentors, participants, and partners effectively.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and report data (monitoring & evaluation mindset).
- Problem-solving attitude with attention to detail in managing logistics and documentation.
- Commitment and passion for working with marginalized communities.
- Flexibility to adapt to program needs and work with diverse stakeholders.
- Interest in entrepreneurship, innovation, or agriculture-related development (preferred).
- Proficiency in English is required.
