Position Summary

The Swiss Cooperation Office and Consular Agency in Cambodia is seeking a part-time Trainee Receptionist to support daily front-office and administrative operations during a maternity leave replacement. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to gain practical experience in a dynamic, international environment.

Part-Time Trainee Receptionist (50%)

Maternity leave replacement (temporary assignment, approx. 4–5 months, morning shift)

Place of work: Phnom Penh

Start of employment: As soon as possible, ideally mid-May 2026

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • The main tasks assigned to the holder of this part-time position (Cambodian national) are:
  • Answering and forwarding incoming calls; facilitating outgoing calls
  • Providing information to partner institutions and clients
  • Welcoming guests and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Sending, receiving, registering, and dispatching mail and fax messages
  • Maintaining and updating internal phone directories and contact lists
  • Recording incoming and outgoing office mail
  • Supporting travel arrangements
  • Preparing and sending invitations, newsletters, and other documents
  • Printing, scanning, and copying documents
  • Assisting in the organization of missions, meetings, and visits
  • Supporting internal meetings, workshops, and social events
  • Providing general support to the administrative team as required

Expected Profile of Candidates
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field, or ongoing studies
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • First experience in administration is an asset
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet)
  • Good communication skills in English and Khmer; knowledge of German and/or French is an advantage
  • Basic understanding of administrative tasks and willingness to learn
Soft Skills
  • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Friendly, service-oriented, and proactive attitude
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Professional conduct and readiness to take initiative
