Tour Guide ($300 - $400) monthly salary + overtime + tips
Trainee Cycling Tour Guide ($220 - $300) monthly salary + overtime + tips

This role involves leading groups of travellers on immersive cycling and tuk-tuk tours, showcasing the beauty and culture of Cambodia while actively promoting the impactful work of our NGO partners. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe, informative, and memorable experience for our guests, fostering a connection with the local community and contributing directly to our mission of sustainable tourism.

- Responsibilities:
- General Duties:
- Assist customers that walk in the shop.
- Explain about Ripple Effect Rides and our ethos and values.
- Introduce the customers to the partner NGOs.
- Maintain the shop ensuring it is always organised and tidy.
- Take bookings and receive payments.
- Tour Guide:
- Lead groups of customers on bike rides or on tuktuk promoting the NGO partners at all times.
- Follow the safety rules and ensure customers are wearing appropriate clothing and gear at all the time.
- Make sure that customers are following all the safety measures during the rides.
- Keep customers always informed of the itinerary during the rides.
- Share information about the local area.
- Host regular community rides monthly.
- Support planning the routes.
- Mechanic:
- Assist with maintaining Ripple Effect Rides Mountain Bike fleet.
- Maintain the bike repair area ensuring it is always organised and tidy.
- Support inventory and stock purchases for mountain bikes maintenance.
- Be responsible for the equipment when in the shop.
- Support the Operations Manager with maintaining relationship with existing supplier and find new suppliers.
- Join collaboration days with partner NGOs.
- Attend bike maintenance training.
- Community Engagement:
- Support fundraising events from charity partners.
- Support partner NGO REACH Siem Reap as needed.
- Meet with, learn about and promote NGO partners and their work.
- Engage with the communities our company serves and represent our causes with passion.
- Support Community Related Tours:
- Support tours that are relating to charity partners by inducting guests in the store.
- Represent the charity partners by advocating about NGOs to our customers.
- Qualifications:
- Verbal and written Khmer fluency.
- Excellent standard of written and spoken English.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent computer literacy skills, and competency with Microsoft Office packages
- A clear understanding of child protection, local laws, and privacy and confidentiality requisites.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills & the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to Ripple Effect Rides and partners NGOs mission and align to their values.
- Flexible and willing to undertake duties outside of the role as and when required.
