Textile Auditor
Duties, Responsibilities
Expectations - - Planning and carrying out sustainable textile audits on apparel and textile supply chain as per the CU guidelines
- Ensuring customer compliance with established certification standards by visiting our clients on site and examining the operating practices and record keeping
- Preparing your audit findings in an audit report within a given timeframe
- Maintaining a good relationship with the clients and prospects and ensure all the client’s inquiries are handled with a timely manner
- Keeping abreast of developments, issues and legislative changes pertaining to sustainable textiles and social compliance sectors which audits are carried out
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure quality and efficient service
- Coordinating promotional activities, organize and execute marketing campaigns
- University degree or diploma in Textile or Clothing Engineering related discipline
- Three years and above of work experience as a technician in textile industry plus expertise in the quality management
- Report writing and presentation skills
- Completion of an IRCA recognized Lead Auditor course for ISO 14001/ ISO 9001/ ISO 45001 or any other recognized course for other certification systems which include 19011 principles [preferred]
- Completion of SA8000 qualification would be an added advantage
- Good command of English language in speech and in writing; [fair knowledge on Chinese language will be an added advantage]
- A problem-solving approach and ability to think in holistic manner
- Proficiency with the Windows Office software programs and data systems
- Resourceful, fast learner with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
