Technical Project Associate
Main Duty Station and Location: PMU office, Phnom Penh, Cambodia

The project is implemented by UNIDO in close collaboration with Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation and Ministry of Environment of Cambodia.
The objective of the project is to reduce the long-term risks of climate change through the transfer of environmentally sound technologies in Cambodian industries by implementing the following activities:
- Strengthen policy measures and technical guidelines to ensure industrial low carbon development and resource efficient operations
- Establish incentives to encourage industries to improve the economic, social and environmental dimensions of their activities
- Implement TEST integrated approach at the national level through trainings and demonstration in selected enterprises
- Increase awareness with focus on resource efficiency and dissemination of the lessons learnt during the project
These Terms of Reference (TOR) has been developed in order to recruit a qualified Cambodian national for the position of Technical Project Associate.

- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Environment or related field.
- Technical and Functional Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the fields of service provision to the private sector related to engineering or environmental projects or management.
- Technical knowledge of Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production, Energy Efficiency (RECP) and/or Renewable Energy technologies (RET).
- Experience in technical cooperation is desirable.
- Excellent computer skills, in particular proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) as well as willingness to learn the SAP UNIDO system is necessary. Familiarity with the goals and procedures of UN and international organizations as well as with government procedures and processes. Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Languages:
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in Khmer and working knowledge of English are required.
