Insuco, a consulting firm specialized in applied social sciences and sustainability, is recruiting a Technical Director (F/M) on a permanent contract for its office based in Phnom-Penh (Cambodia).
MISSION
The Technical Director implements the office's commercial strategy and technical roadmap, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with Insuco's quality standards across projects.
- Organisational management:
- Define and lead the execution of the technical roadmap, in alignment with the business development goals and in conjunction with the Regional Director.
- Manage the staff of the Technical Department as the key referent for technical issues.
- Set up monitoring and management tools and ensure the correct use and appropriation of ERP and any digital solutions applied to project management.
- Business development and institutional relations
- Actively participate in the development of the commercial strategy of the regional office in collaboration with the Regional Director.
- Organise and implement business intelligence activities, identify new clients/projects and maintain relationships with existing clients.
- Prepare responses to calls for tenders and expressions of interest.
- Represent Insuco at events, meetings or commercial prospecting spaces.
- Project planning and management:
- Oversee the execution of ongoing studies and projects, ensuring the technical quality of activities and results before, during and after the projects.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders (consultants, clients, internal support teams).
- Maintain an updated database of current consultants and partners and ensure a constant search for new consultants and partners.
- Carry out field missions when necessary.
- R&D / Capitalisation of tools and knowledge:
- Implement an internal process for capturing, sharing and including lessons learned and key factors across projects.
- Develop, adapt and update methodologies and/or technical tools in coordination with regional and continental teams.
- Ensure best practices in technical documentation (references and drive), guidelines, templates.
- Monitor and participate in the Group's internal projects.

- English - Fluent is required
- Master's Degree in social sciences, economics, agronomy, environment or equivalent.
- Successful field and project management experience in a challenging environment for 4 years as a minimum
- Master project management.
- Excellent writing skills (drafting, analysis, and review of proposals, technical and strategic documents) are required.
- Proficiency in office suites and computer tools is essential.
- Knowledge of international issues and standards related to Social Impact Assessments and Resettlement Action Plans is an asset.
- Significant experience working in a multicultural environment.
- Experience in Southeast Asia and in consulting firms would be an asset.
- Excellent proficiency in English, both oral and written, is essential.
