The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), through the Climate Resilience Enhancement for Building Adaptive Capacity in Agri-Value Chains in Cambodia (CREA), invites eligible consulting firms to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for provision of Technical Assistance support to CRT providers and Business Plan Development for AC/PO to integrate CRTs.

Summary

Scope of Work

The Consultancy Firm shall perform the following duties and responsibilities:

  1. Conduct individual working sessions with each CRT provider, AC/POs and local PFI officers of the two selected PFIs (Wing Bank and Chamroeun);
  2. Through the BAP, the recruited firm will be able to update each CRT providers’ marketing and business activities, especially expansion strengthening their after-sales services and distribution networks. This work will engage different partners and recruited agencies under the PSU (e.g. digital marketing agency, CRT and Business consultant etc.);
  3. Training on Economic and financial analysis of CRT Investment Models to improve local PFI officers' knowledge. Through technical support of the firm, PFI officers will be capacitated in delivering outreach strategies, financial products, and services to rural areas;
  4. Training workshops for AC/POs on CRT investment models to support business plans development. Support to at least 45 AC/POs1 with business plans that include CRT packages.

Eligibility

  • Qualification and Competency Requirements
  • The firm will need to have a proven track record including Financial Record, Service delivery report at least 5 years, Tax Payment, Audit Report and managing acceleration programs in the field of agriculture
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies for agriculture production including solar water pump, Solar dryer, solar cooling and storage system, Solar incubator and understanding of climate resilient technologies respond to drought and flood with potential applications in Cambodian smallholder agriculture, livelihoods and private sector supply chains
  • Experience working with AC/POs in developing business investment plan for agricultural production and post-harvest handling

Interested candidate will be selected in accordance with the Individual Consultant Selection-ICS method set out in the IFAD and the RGC’s SOP for Externally Financed Project in Cambodia Updated Version Dec 2019.
