Job Purpose
The Student Wellbeing and Experience Officer plays a key role in enhancing the overall student experience at DMUC by supporting student wellbeing, engagement, retention, and personal development throughout the student journey.
The postholder will provide proactive pastoral, wellbeing, and student support services while contributing to a vibrant, supportive, and student-focused university culture. The role requires a highly approachable, empathetic, and student-centred individual who is passionate about supporting students to succeed academically, socially, and personally.
The Student Wellbeing and Experience Officer will work closely with academic departments, student services, and external agencies to ensure students receive timely and effective support and intervention where required.

- Provide a confidential, supportive, and non-judgemental environment for students seeking advice or support regarding personal, emotional, academic, or wellbeing concerns.
- Support students experiencing challenges such as stress, anxiety, homesickness, wellbeing concerns, academic pressure, financial concerns, or disengagement.
- Conduct wellbeing meetings and maintain professional records of student interactions and support plans.
- Identify students at risk through attendance monitoring, engagement tracking, or referrals from academic staff and proactively intervene where necessary.
- Liaise with parents, guardians, academic staff, and external support providers where appropriate and in line with safeguarding and confidentiality procedures.
- Maintain appropriate referral pathways to external counselling, medical, safeguarding, or specialist support services.
- Support safeguarding and student welfare procedures in line with university policies.
- Support students with transition and adjustment to university life, including international students adapting to studying and living in Cambodia.
- Student Experience & Engagement
- Support the planning and delivery of student engagement activities, wellbeing initiatives, orientation programmes, and student events.

- Organise wellbeing campaigns, workshops, and awareness activities related to mental health, resilience, stress management, study skills, and student life.

Purpose of the Role
The Student Services Administrative Officer plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Student Services Department and ensuring an excellent student experience throughout the student lifecycle.
The post holder will provide administrative support across a range of student-facing services, including student enquiries, student records management, academic CRM administration, examinations, student events, wellbeing referrals, enrolment processes, and general departmental operations.
As a first point of contact for students, the role requires a highly organised, customer-focused individual who is passionate about supporting students and contributing to a positive and professional university environment.
- Student Support and Customer Service
- Act as a first point of contact for student enquiries received in person, by telephone, email, Telegram, and other communication channels.
- Provide information and guidance regarding university policies, procedures, regulations, and services.
