Reports to: Academic Coordinator
The STEM Supervisor is responsible for leading, enhancing, and expanding the school’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program. This role focuses on guiding teachers in integrating STEM concepts, AI tools, and robotics into the existing curriculum, while driving student excellence through participation in competitions and Olympiads.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Integration: Collaborate directly with Science, Math, and Technology teachers to integrate hands-on STEM concepts, AI fundamentals, and robotics projects into the current curriculum.
- Competition Management: Prepare, guide, and support students to participate in STEM Olympiads, robotics leagues, AI challenges, and other academic competitions.
- Robotics & AI Program Leadership: Oversee the practical application of robotics kits, coding programs, and basic AI applications in classroom instruction and extracurricular clubs.
- Teacher Support & Coaching: Assist teachers in adopting innovative, project-based learning methods and using modern educational technology and robotics tools effectively.
- Program Development: Organize school-wide STEM events, robotics showcases, AI workshops, and science fairs to build student enthusiasm.
- Resource Management: Select, organize, and maintain STEM classroom tools, robotics equipment, and relevant software/hardware.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or a related field
Work History:
- Teaching STEM, Science, Math, or Computer Science subjects, with proven leadership or supervisory skills for 2 to 3 years as a minimum
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
- Curriculum Alignment: Strong ability to work collaboratively with Science, Math, and Technology teachers to seamlessly embed STEM methodologies and new technologies into existing subject frameworks.
- AI & Robotics Proficiency: Solid practical knowledge of basic Artificial Intelligence concepts, programming/coding fundamentals, and educational robotics platforms.
- Competition Coordination: Demonstrated track record or strong interest in organizing, training, and leading students to enter and succeed in Olympiads, robotics leagues, and STEM competitions.
