Sport for Development Cambodia Team Leader
Purpose of the Position:
As the Team Leader, you are to lead all Cambodian-based Sport for Development projects managed by the Sport for Development Team by (i) holding operational and reporting leadership for all projects; (ii) building a supportive and productive environment for staff and Coaches; (iii) ensuring strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors; and (iv) ensuring quality across all workstreams.

Employment: Full-time for 12 months with option to extend upon mutual agreement
Reports to: Sport for Development Cluster Lead
Other Information: Domestic and international travel required
- Lead project management and reporting in-line with organisational requirements;
- Manage and oversee all activities and budget in-line with approved projects;
- Ensure all project management platforms are up to date;
- Ensure all relevant protocols are adhered to across the implementation team;
- Support the transition of project activities to partner organisations;
- Support the strengths and systems of partners to implement project activities or iterations of project activities;
- Build a strong and effective implementation team of staff, Coaches and partners;
- Maintain strong and productive relationships with key Country Office staff and Government officials including the National Olympic Committee;
- Ensure that all country-level donor commitments are met;
- Represent Cambodia in regional Sport for Development activities;
- Provide focal point services for all activities in Cambodia;
- Maintain frequent, high-quality and transparent communications with the regional Sport for Development team;
- Support the expansion of Sport for Development activities in Cambodia;
- Identify opportunities to add value to ChildFund interventions in Cambodia and across the region;
- Support improvements of disability inclusion across projects in Cambodia;
- Remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding as well as Sexual Exploitation, Abuse or Harassment (SEAH) risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the child safeguarding policy and procedures, and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the Child Safeguarding Policy.
- QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- University education in education, sport management, international development or a relevant field;
- Experience working with partners, with sports partners an advantage;
- Experience of working with children and young people;
- Community development experience, with Sport for Development an advantage;
- Mentoring experience;
- Representation experience, including public speaking;
- Experience working in a complex partnership environment with multiple competing priorities;
- Successful team building and leadership experience;
- Fluency in Khmer and English, with other relevant languages an advantage.
