ChildFund Cambodia is the representative office of ChildFund Australia- an independent international development organization that works to reduce poverty for children in developing communities.

ChildFund Australia is a member of the ChildFund Alliance a global network of 11 organisations which assist almost 36 million children and their families in over 70 countries. ChildFund Australia is a registered charity, a member of the Australian Council for International Development of Foreign Affair and Trade which manage the Australian Government’s overseas aid program.

ChildFund Cambodia began working in Cambodia in 2007 and works in partnership to create community and systems change which enables vulnerable children and young people, in all their diversity, to assert and realise their rights. Our works focus on child protection which builds resilience and community-based child protection mechanism, inclusive education and youth empowerment. ChildFund Cambodia is also working to strengthen the government’s policy frameworks to improve early grade reading performance through technology intervention and improved school governance. Our work also aims to promote child online safety to ensure that children are safe in all settings.

Sponsor Relations Intern

Position Circumstances

Position Summary

Department : Sponsor Relation Unit

Employment : Internship

Reports to : Sponsor Relations Officer based in Kratie

Duration : 6 months

ALLOWANCE: A monthly allowance of 250 USD will be provided for this internship.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing, packaging, and organizing all types of correspondence (letters, messages, cards, etc.) from sponsored children and sponsors.
  • Support in quality checking correspondence to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with ChildFund standards.
  • Assist in distributing and following up correspondence
  • Support Sponsor Relations Officer to ensre that correspondence is submitted on time and meets required deadlines.
  • Join field visits to follow up and observe child case monitoring, including collecting updated information when needed.
  • Report any issues or child concerns immediately to the Sponsor Relations Officer.
  • Assist in taking photographs of sponsored children according to guidelines.
  • Provide support in gathering and organizing children activities Support meeting arrangements, including scheduling, logistics, and preparations for sponsorship-related meetings or events.
  • Doing other Sponsor Relations administration work assigned by Sponsor Relations officer
Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • Khmer - Good
  • English - Good
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree in or recent graduate in community development, education, social work, or related field.
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Basic skills in writing, communication, and documentation.
  • Ability to complete tasks on time with quality
  • Ability to travel to target communities when required.
  • Good command of Khmer and English languages
Soft Skills

Finance and Administration Intern

Position Circumstances

  • Salary: $250
Position Summary

Department : Operation

Employment : Internship

Reports to : Finance Team Leader

Duration : 6 months

ALLOWANCE: A monthly allowance of 250 USD will be provided for this internship.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Key area 1: Financial Supports
  • Support in reviewing staff claim, cash advance, cash advance acquittal, payments to ensure compliances with the org's policies and procedures and approved budget
  • Key in transactions into Finace system including cash advance and cash advance acquittal of staff
  • Perform daily payment and fund transfers to staff, suppliers and partners through E-banking system along with proper and approved documents.
  • Prepare and submit monthly Tax and NSSF payment to relevant departments. File correct receipts and invoices to provide sufficient/accurate information for proper accounting transactions
  • Keep bank book up to date and prepare monthly bank reconciliation and submit for review and approval
  • Maintain comprehensive filing system and prepare sufficient documents for audit purpose
  • Scan the financial documents and save in proper folders
  • Perform other duties as advised by the Finance Team Leader
  • Key area 2: Administrative Supports
  • Greetings the visitors to the office courteously, provide them with needed information
  • Ensure front office look professional and good appearance.
  • Organizing meetings/workshops/training internally and externally etc. Conduct fixed asset list and inventory supplies on a regular basis
  • Manage the office stationery, office and kitchen supplies and make them available for staff
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mails, correspondences and other documents
Expected Profile of Candidates

Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree in accounting and finance or related fields
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Proven strong accounting with good attention to details
  • Knowledge in handling administrative support
  • Ability to complete tasks on time with quality and integrity
  • Good command of Khmer and English languages
  • Excellent computer knowledge
Soft Skills
  • A team player, able to work closely with staff across the organization
  • Strong commitment to the organization, sense of ownership, responsive, result-oriented and self-motivated person
  • Ability to travel and stay in the province where we implement our projects if need be
  • Remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding or sexual exploitation, abuse or harassment (SEAH) risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the child safeguarding and PSEAH policy and procedures, and conduct yourself consistent with those policies.
