Announcement Description

World Vision International in Cambodia (WVI-C) is a non-governmental Christian organization working with the poor and oppressed to promote human transformation, seeking justice, and bear witness to the Good News of the Kingdom of God.

WVI-C is primarily funded by Child Sponsorship Programme. WVI-C closely work with around 112,000 registered children in Child Sponsorship Programme to build up their constant relationship through different kind of letters such as Sponsor Letters (SL), e-Letters (EL), Child Expression Worksheet (CEW). These letters require to be translated with quality and timely before delivering to children and sponsors.

Purpose of the consultancy

  • To translate around 110,000 letters from English to Khmer and vice-versa year round.

Accountability for the consultancy

  • Ensure accuracy of all translated letters from English to Khmer  
  • Pick up the letters from WVI-C National Office to do translation at their office from (2-3 times/days per week) and return back to the office as per agreed schedule. 
  • Must keep confidential of all letters 

Key deliverables of the consultancy

  • Ensure high quality of translation, good condition, accuracy, timely and keep in order

Experience and Qualifications

  •  At least 2 year experiences working in translation service or area of expertise 
  •  Good comment in English, nice handwriting. 
  •  Understand WVI-C context and child protection policy 
  •  Good administration management skill
  •  Must be a legally registered company with government. 

 Schedule & Budget

  •  Services is happening within year around; however, the number of letters is different from month to month.
  •  Service charge is subjected to be discussed.
