Solar Irrigation Engineer
Position Summary Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced solar water pump engineer to join our team in Phnom Penh. We provide reliable and affordable solar-powered irrigation service to smallholder farmers. The engineer will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining solar-powered water pump systems and working closely with our partners and customers in rural communities to ensure each system meets their specific needs.
Working Time: Mon – Fri (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
Holiday: Saturday, Sunday, and national holidays

Salary: Negotiable according to your skills and experience.
- Design and engineer solar-powered water pump systems.
- Conduct site assessments to determine the suitability for solar water pump installations.
- Lead and supervise onsite installation, operation, and maintenance of solar water pump systems.
- Develop project timelines and budgets.
- Develop technical proposals, project reports, and other documentation as required.
- Provide technical training and develop operational procedures and quality/safety standards.
- Create maintenance checklists for inspection of completed solar installation projects.
- Negotiate with local and international suppliers of hardware on system design and specifications.
- Ensure all projects comply with applicable regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in design and installation.
- Strong knowledge of solar, electrical, and irrigation systems.
- Capable of expressing ideas through 2D and 3D drawing software.
- Experience working with rural communities or agricultural projects.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to provinces. Driver’s license preferred.
- Fast learner.
