Social Worker

The Social Worker will work directly under the supervision of the Social Work Coordinator and overall supervision of the Deputy Country Director of Holt International in Cambodia.
- Cooperate with relevant government authorities to recruit, select and develop foster families.
- Cooperate with relevant government authorities to identify children who are at risk of family separation and children living outside family care.
- Conduct assessment on needs and strengths of children, families and available community resources.
- Work with children and/or their families to develop care plan to meet with their needs.
- Mobilize, co-ordinate, and advocate with other staff, local authorities, community members and other NGOs to support children and families.
- Provide regular follow up and monitoring the children and families' progress toward their care plan.
- Provide additional counseling to children and/or their family members.
- Maintain case files and write reports on visits/case note and other social work activities.
- Maximizes Holt’s mission by assessing opportunities to develop extended programs and implementing new ways to assist homeless and vulnerable children in Phnom Penh.
- Promotes the development of Holt’s child welfare programs by participating in community meetings, public relations events, and training activities at the direction of the Program Manager.

- Khmer - Fluent
- English - Fluent
- Bachelor's Degree in social work or other related fields.
- Experience in working in child welfare settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge on permanency plan for children.
- Knowledge on child protection, child alternative care and case management.
- Able to read, write and speak English and Khmer fluently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
