The Senior Purchasing & Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's procurement activities, particularly focusing on IT solutions and services. This role involves negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that all procurement activities are carried out efficiently and in compliance with company policies. The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s business objectives.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors, particularly in the IT sector, to ensure they meet the
- company’s quality and cost standards.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Conduct regular supplier evaluations and audits to ensure continuous improvement in quality and service.
- Lead negotiations for contracts, including pricing, terms, and conditions, to achieve the best value for the company.
- Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts to ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
- Oversee the purchasing of IT hardware, software, and services, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to payment, ensuring all purchases are documented and recorded accurately.
- Work closely with the IT department to understand their needs and ensure that procurement activities support
- the company’s technology goals.
- Develop and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and adherence to financial plans.
- Analyze and report on spending trends, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior procurement staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Lead cross-functional teams in procurement projects, ensuring collaboration and successful outcomes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Procurement, with a focus on IT solutions and services for 3 to 5 years as a minimum
- Proven experience in contract negotiation, vendor management, and purchasing in a technology-driven environment.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
