The Senior Merchandiser is responsible for developing and executing the merchandising strategy for a retail fashion business. This role involves analyzing market trends, managing product assortments, and collaborating with various teams to ensure that the store's offerings align with customer preferences and brand identity.
Working Conditions:
- Working Days and Hours: Mon – Fri, 8am – 5pm
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to travel for market visits and vendor meetings as needed.
- Merchandising Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive merchandising strategy that aligns with business goals and brand identity.
- Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to inform product selection and assortment planning.
- Product Assortment Management:
- Oversee the selection and management of product assortments for seasonal collections and promotional events.
- Collaborate with buying teams to ensure a balanced and appealing product mix.
- Visual Merchandising:
- Work closely with the visual merchandising team to create engaging displays that enhance the shopping experience.
- Ensure that all merchandising aligns with brand guidelines and visual standards.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and sales performance to optimize stock levels and minimize markdowns.
- Develop strategies for inventory turnover and replenishment to maximize sales opportunities.
- Sales Analysis:
- Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on merchandising performance.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with marketing, store operations, and buying teams to ensure cohesive execution of merchandising strategies.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align on promotional activities and product launches.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the merchandising team, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development.
- Brand Representation:
- Uphold the brand's image and values in all merchandising efforts.

- Bachelor's Degree in Merchandising, Fashion Design, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in merchandising or related roles, preferably in the retail fashion industry for 3 years as a minimum
- Proficiency in merchandising software and Microsoft Office Suite.
