Senior Communications and Outreach Officer
The Senior Communications and Outreach Officer will support the team in managing the Cambodia Green Futures Activity (CGFA) social media platform (mainly Facebook and YouTube), implementation and monitoring of activities related to communication and outreach. The post holder will be responsible for helping to develop and deliver effective and targeted communication messages through multiple channels to all project stakeholders. S/he will also support FHI 360 staff and collaborate with the project team to ensure project lessons and best practices are effectively documented and shared with relevant stakeholders to contribute to improved biodiversity conservation, forest protection, and natural resource management practices in Cambodia. The Senior Communications and Outreach Officer will report to the Deputy Chief of Party (DCoP) and will be based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, but is expected to travel to field sites, on occasion.
- Bachelor’s Degree in knowledge management/information services, communications, education, biodiversity conservation, forest protection, natural resource management or related field
- Two to three years of experience working in knowledge outreach, communication, international development and preferred knowledge and understanding of forest protection, biodiversity conservation or natural resource management
- Experience using social media for project communication
- Strong skills in writing in both English and Khmer. Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive fashion with clients and staff.
- Knowledge of communications, design and program principles.
- Demonstrative experience with creative video and photo taking, communication design.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Khmer.
- Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft office products, databases and list dissemination tools.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data, identify errors and draft reports.
