Senior Associate, Risk Advisory
Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
- Deliver engagements, identify financial and business risks, perform in-depth analysis of business processes, risks and controls, draft reports and agree draft findings and improvement recommendations with client management;
- Develop and implement controls testing work programs to provide assurance over the design and operating effectiveness of controls using Deloitte's own methodology and relevant industry guidance, including that of the Institute of Internal Auditors where relevant;
- Produce quality client deliverables such as analysis, reports or presentations that outline finding and recommendations;
- Work with peers in other specialist areas of the team to ensure the broader RA propositions are taken to our key clients and relationships;
- Demonstrate specific service area/competency and/or industry expertise that results in tangible value for our clients;
- Successfully fulfill client expectations and deliver engagement objectives as a part of a team;
- Anticipate client needs based on a strong understanding of the client and its industry;
- Actively participate in business and practice development initiatives such as proposal development and thought leadership materials;
- Bachelor degree or above in Accounting, Banking, Business Administration, Finance, or other relevant disciplines.
- At least 2-3 years of experience working as external or internal auditor, financial analyst/accountant or associate /consultant;
- Relevant professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA or CIA qualification (completed or in progress) would be an advantage;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Khmer and English
- Ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, challenge the status quo and deliver effectively with what can often be ambiguous requirements;
- Good knowledge of risk management and controls concepts, leading industry practices (e.g. ISO 31000, COSO) would be an advantage;
- Possess technical and /or management consulting experience in the area of business process and internal controls transformation, enterprise risk management framework development or internal audit;
- Confidence when interacting with all levels of client personnel, including CFOs, line managers, analysts and accountants;
- Versatile, willing to learn and has the ability to work under pressure in team as well as alone, and meet tight deadlines;
Audit Analytics Associate
Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
- Data manipulation using tools such as Excel, Microsoft SQL, MS Access, Qlikview and/or Tableau to load and transform raw data into standard data models.
- Performing reconciliations to verify the completeness of datasets provided to you. This task will require a degree of problem solving and the ability to understand basic accounting concepts. (trainings available);
- Carry out data quality checks which will need to be raised to the Audit team or client if any problems occur.
- Manage a portfolio of audit analytics engagement, ensuring tasks are being done on time and in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Assist and guide Audit teams with data extraction from client systems.
- Perform data analysis as part of the standard audit analytics packages, and develop custom solutions.
- Perform other tasks as needed;
- Core Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Science related.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply;
- An understanding of basic accounting and auditing principles is beneficial but not required;
- Hands on experience with tools such as;
- Familiarity with database technology such as MS SQL;
- Visualization software such as Qlikview and/or Tableau.Knowledge of software development life cycle;
- Prior experience working with and managing large data sets, including extraction and merges from source systems, data cleansing and transformations, and providing preliminary descriptive analytics findings to business challenges;
- Individuals should be enthusiastic and have a flair for problem solving and troubleshooting;
- Dealing with data ambiguity;
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills;
- Good communication skills both verbal and written (English language);
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability work in a team with an attention to detail;
- Additional Requirements that are considered as an asset
- Proficient with fundamental front end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript;
- JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS and React;
- Proficient with server side languages such as Python and .Net;
- Knowledge of software development life cycle;
- Developing front-end website architecture, designing user interactions on web pages and developing back end website applications.
- Creating servers and databases for functionality.
