Job Description
Our company is currently searching for a detail-oriented and qualified Senior Accountant (SA) for reviewing clients’ tax payments and returns. As the SA, it will be to recommend effective accounting and tax guidelines that comply with standards and taxes laws to promote our clients’ financial well-being. Your responsibilities will include bookkeeping and preparing tax returns, analyzing tax regulations, updating government regulations, and completing accounting and tax reports.
To excel in this role, you must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of bookkeeping and taxes returns procedures and time management skills, as you’ll have to ensure our company meets strict deadlines. In addition, being an excellent communicator, our ideal candidate will also demonstrate keen attention to detail with excellent mathematical skills.

- Reviewing monthly and annual tax returns (MTR & ATR), necessary paperwork
- Reviewing and submitting MTR & ATR with supporting documents to line managers by meeting the deadlines
- Regularly reviewing the internal technical works system and making updates, improvements where necessary, manage and maintain the company’s database
- Engaging regularly with clients and maintaining strong relationships
- Identifying areas where clients and businesses can reduce tax, make claims and increase profits.
- Ensuring you comply with regulations by forwarding required information to teamwork
- Leading and assigning the team, training and sharing the technical works
- Assessing and researching difficult tax issues to identify solutions and recommend
- Preparing requirement documentation and support statements for tax auditors.
- Evaluating tax regulations and suggesting policies that diminish tax burden.
- Keep tracking industry trends and changes related to taxes.
- Preparing accurate monthly and annual tax returns and reports.
- Other duties which are assigned by line manager.
- Superior analytical, quantitative, leadership, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, tax agent certificate is an asset.
- Proven work experience as a Bookkeeping and Tax Accountant
- Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
- Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work autonomously the majority of the time with little to no oversight
- A minimum of 3 years’ working experience as a Tax Accountant or similar role
- Good understanding of MS Office and accounting software (Quick-Book)
- Good command of both written and spoken English
- Strong numeracy and time management skills
- Responsible for tax declaration preparation.
