THE ROLE
This role is responsible for overseeing the financial management and accounting operations of EWCB Cambodia. This includes ensuring compliance with accounting standards, preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and maintaining accurate financial records. The role also involves strategic financial planning to support the company's mission/ vision in serving the smallholder farmers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Financial Management
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Provide detailed financial analysis to support decision-making by senior management.
- Ensure timely submission of tax returns and statutory financial reports.
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Develop, monitor, and manage budgets to ensure effective allocation of resources.
- Conduct financial forecasting to support strategic planning initiatives.
- Analyze variances between actual and budgeted figures, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Audit and Internal Controls
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Monitor and improve processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and mentor accounting team members.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Assign and review tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
- Strategic Financial Planning
- Collaborate with senior management to align financial strategies with business goals.
- Support project feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for new initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes affecting the company.
