Professional Assignment:
The school principal supports the president with all the tasks and responsibilities related to the smooth and efficient operation of the educational programs at all Grade levels. The school principal works directly with the president to develop action plans, guidelines, procedures and policies to meet WISC strategic goals. The school principal organizes, plans, and provides direct support to teachers and teaching assistants and curriculum.
- The School principal will:
- Collaborate with the president of the school on overall school-wide programmatic development
- Work with the president of the school to develop procedures, policies, and guidelines that enable the school to run efficiently
- Ensure smooth day-to-day administration of the school programs
- Engage, provide leadership, communicate effectively, and influence teachers, teaching assistants, and Khmer support staff, appreciating differing approaches and personalities
- Promote positive leadership and efficient management by promoting high-quality communication across the whole school
- Assist in the attraction, selection, and recruitment of appropriately qualified and experienced teaching staff and teaching assistants
- Implement student code of conduct/behavior guidelines and act as the first level of support to teachers in student discipline issues by initiating appropriate responses to emerging and/or challenging student needs
- Be a member of the school management
- Participate in Creating, implementing, and monitoring the timetable usage.
- Arrange teacher meeting schedules
- Monitor weekly lesson plans from teachers.
- Create, coordinate, and disseminate the duty schedule for teachers and teaching assistants during recess and lunch break to ensure student’s safety
- Create, implement, and monitor parental drop-off or pick-up routines
- Supervise teaching assistants’ performance
- Oversee the organization of field trips
- Liaise with the Khmer General Education Coordinator to ensure the smooth running of the full-day schedule
- Organize two rounds of parent-teacher conferences per school year by coordinating interviews for all WISC students, inviting parents, and providing schedules to teachers
- Liaise with the president of the school to plan for an academic progress report
- Make necessary arrangements for parent workshops/meetings, curriculum information sessions, open days, etc., and other school events as required
- Help identify resources required for teaching and learning
- Ensure that teachers are aware of and responsible for shared resources
- Monitor resource needs and be responsible for creating/maintaining a resource inventory
- Support teachers, supervisor and the president of the school in leading regular student assemblies
- Ensure there is a consistent and thorough handover between leaving teachers and new hires, including any teachers hired mid-year
- Assist new teachers in all aspects of the curriculum, school routines, and procedures
- Oversee teacher absences and arrange substitutes as needed
- Cover and teach classes as needed
- Draw to the attention of each teacher safety/emergency procedures and inform the president of the school of any areas of concern
- Be an active participant in all school activities
- Attend and lead meetings as required
- Maintain confidentiality
- Consult with the president of the school on all important matters
- Deputize for the president in her/his absence
- Assist the president of the school with other appropriate tasks as require
- Handle the Cambridge curriculum efficiently and effectively

JOB PURPOSE

To guide and care for students while supporting them to reach their highest academic attainment.
- This role would involve a variety of responsibilities related to the implementation and coordination of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) programs. Here is a general job description for a Cambridge Coordinator in a secondary school:
- Program Management: You will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the Cambridge International programs within the secondary school. This includes overseeing the registration of students for exams, ensuring compliance with CIE guidelines and requirements, and maintaining accurate records of student progress and results.
- Curriculum Development: You will work closely with teachers and subject leaders to ensure that the curriculum aligns with CIE syllabi and standards. This may involve developing or modifying existing curriculum materials, mapping the curriculum to match CIE requirements, and providing guidance and support to teachers in implementing the curriculum effectively.
- Staff Training and Support: As the Cambridge Coordinator, you will provide training and support to teachers to ensure their understanding and implementation of the Cambridge programs. This may involve organizing workshops, sharing resources and best practices, and conducting regular meetings to address any challenges or concerns.
- Assessment Coordination: You will oversee the administration of Cambridge examinations, including coordinating exam schedules, arranging exam venues, and ensuring proper invigilation procedures are followed. You will also be responsible for submitting accurate and timely entries to CIE and managing the secure storage and distribution of exam materials.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: You will collect, analyze, and report data on student performance in Cambridge examinations. This may involve generating reports on individual student achievements, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and providing feedback to teachers, students, and parents/guardians.
- Communication and Liaison: You will serve as the primary point of contact between the school and CIE, maintaining regular communication and staying updated on any changes or developments in the Cambridge programs. You may also engage with parents to inform them about the benefits and requirements of the Cambridge programs and address any queries or concerns they may have.

- 4-year Bachelor’s Degree plus TESOL/TEFL certificate, BA in Education preferred
- Cambridge Coordinator experience is preferred
- More than 3 years of working experience in education institutions Experience in teaching in an international setting is an advantage.
- Competent in Information Technology for use in Teaching and Learning, as well as data analysis
- Strong knowledge in curriculum, pedagogy and assessments.
- Strong passion in education with the ability to inspire students and fellow teachers
