Sales Supervisor
PROJECT OR DIVISION Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
REPORTS TO Program Manager
LOCATION Based in Pursat with frequent day trips and overnight travel to provincial office and rural areas.
PURPOSE
The Sales Supervisor (SS) is to lead and directly manage up to four sales agents to increase latrine coverage by selling a variety of sanitation products (including floating and elevated toilets) across a wide range of communes and villages in and near the Tonle Sap area in Pursat province. The SS will facilitate, coach, and lead a team to conduct door-to-door and group sales presentations. The SS will also actively seek out and test new channels and methods for selling sanitation products in this area.
WORKING RELATIONSHIP
The Sales Supervisor reports directly to Program Manager (PM) and s/he frequently works also in collaboration and coordination with other iDE sanitation marketing staff, project partner organizations, local authorities, private suppliers, and other local stakeholders to conduct and improve sales activities to reach weekly, monthly and quarterly targets for products sold and delivered.
Position start date: July 2022
Contract duration: 1-year minimum with opportunity for extension, pending employee performance.
- Responsible for sales agent recruitment with support from PM and HR staff.
- Participate in sales planning and preparation on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
- Provide additional training and coaching to sales agents on sales management/planning.
- Conduct sales presentations to lead by example
- Advise sales agents on daily operations, problem solving and activity flexibility.
- Keep closely and daily monitoring the sales situation, sales agent performance, and results
- Oversee and monitor financial management for sales team as on weekly or monthly basis to PM.
- Assist sales agents on communication and coordination with local authorities.
- Coordinate with project partner organizations and actively seek out new partnerships and opportunities for generating demand for sanitation products.
- Support innovative initiatives and pilots involving new product sales and customer financing
- Represent iDE-WASH program at the sale-sector in Kampong Chhnang and Phat Sanday area of Kampong Thom
- Take on any additional assignments as requested by PM.
- QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Graduated from university with bachelor degree or higherProficiency reading and writing in Khmer and English language (Vietnamese is a plus)
- Significant experience in sales, marketing or business management
- Strong ability in planning, leading, coaching, managing staff
- Some experiences in community development of sanitation and hygiene, including collaboration and working with local authority (village/commune chief).
- Experience in organizing meeting or discussion with rural households.
- Ability to ride and own motorcycle and smartphone.
- Self-confident, self-starter, conflict and problem solving and high commitment.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Smartphone.
- Ability to compile basic operational data and reports and conduct analysis.
