Sales Manager – Freight Forwarding

- Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify market opportunities, target industries, key customers, and strategic trade lances.
- Establish clear sales directions and develop sales strategies based on market trends, customer demand, industry developments, and company objectives.
- Develop and execute annual and monthly sales action plans to achieve revenue, gross profit, volume, and new business targets.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Conduct a weekly sales meeting to review individual sales activities, new customer development, customer visits, sales pipeline, quotations, expected business, revenue, and gross profit performance.
- Closely monitor individual and team performance, identify performance gaps, and establish clear action plans for improvement.
- Provide regular sales training, coaching, and mentoring to improve the team’s capabilities in prospecting, customer approach, needs analysis, solution selling, negotiation, closing, account development, time management, and productivity.
- Conduct joint customer visits with sales team members to support new business development, key negotiations, and deal closing.
- Manage sales activities and pipeline through the company CRM system, ensuring accurate and timely updates of prospects, customer visits, quotations, opportunities, and sales forecasts.
- Closely monitor the profitability of new and existing businesses and ensure sustainable gross profit growth while maintaining appropriate cost and pricing discipline.
- Prepare and manage sales forecasts, annual sales targets, sales budgets, and performance benchmarks in alignment with company objectives.
- Manage major RFQs, tenders, commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, and new business implementation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, Business partners, industry networks, and relevant private and public-sector stakeholders.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by understanding current and future customer requirements and coordinating with Operations, Pricing, Customer Service, and Finance teams to resolve service issues and mprove customer retention.
- Proactively resolve sales team performance issues, internal conflict, and operational challenges affecting sales activities.
- Promote a strong team culture based on accountability, open communication, teamwork, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
- Provide regular market analysis, sales forecasts, pipeline reports, team performance updates, and profit performance reports to Branch Management.
- Perform other sales management responsibilities assigned by Branch Management.
- English - Good is required
- Chinese - Good is preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Sales Manager, with direct responsibility for leading, coaching, and managing a sales team in Freight Forwarding or International Logistics for 3 years as a minimum
- Chinese language proficiency is preferred, especially with experience in developing and managing Chinese customers or Chinese-owned companies.
- 7-10 years of overall experience in Freight Forwarding or International Logistics Sales.
- Proven experience in sales team management, Sales Training, performance management, market analysis, and sales strategy development.
- Strong track record in new business development, strategic account management, and achievement of revenue and gross profit targets.
- Strong knowledge of Air Freight and Ocean Freight, experience in Cross-Border Transportation, Customer Clearance, and Contract Logistics is Preferred.
- Experience in managing sales pipelines, CRM systems, RFQs tenders, commercial negotiations, and complex logistics solutions.
- Ability to manage sales targets, budgets, forecasts, and profitability performance.
- Good command of English is required.
- Willingness to travel travel frequently for customer visits, joint sales calls, and team support.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding
