Sales Manager
This position is responsible for the Country level Sales Budget and commercial management. The scope of work includes (but not limited to) building business plans, product development, roll-out of sales programs, building a direct and virtual sales organization, market research and analytics, driving client implementation projects, and expanding our commercial footprint in other cities.
Covering all lines of business/verticals within the company, this position will also be the country commercial lead in for global accounts RFQ, client engagement programs and business development initiatives.
This position may also be responsible for driving other long-range strategic projects, including industry/government relations programs. He/she will report to the Head, Commercial Development (S/SEA)
- Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, develop, and implement commercial strategy across the organization
- Grow and expand service capabilities and network
- Develop a sales pipeline, engage in sales, negotiate, and secure contracts.
- Establish and maintain Sales Admin systems for measuring all related aspects of operations to achieve commercial plan (Dashboard)
- Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets
- Be proficient in cross-functional management and financial reporting requirements and processes
- Able to navigate a large matrix organization and handle ambiguity.
- Key Result Areas
- Meet/Exceed Country level Sales budget
- Build a 3–5-year Business Plan (all lines of business)
- Develop Sales Programs & Metrics (Dashboard, Sales Process, Sales Pipeline, Incentive programs, Market Research, Client analytics etc.)
- Product Development (expand our service menu)
- Lead & Drive client implementation (SOP, Billing, IT interface, onboarding etc.)
- Country led for Global Client programs/Business Development
- Expanding our footprint in other cities
- Deepening the company’s branding (Industry/Association/Government relations).
- University Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years working experience in the logistics environment and track record in Large Account Management.
- Proven “Global” mindset, ability to succeed in global environment and executing in local markets
- Knowledge and experience in logistics management, warehousing and distribution and other supply chain-related services.
- Project management experience – Leading teams, mobilizing resources, problem solving, process mapping, managing ambiguity
- Ability to establish strong interpersonal relationships and interact effectively at all levels of seniority
- Strategic mind, keen sense of observation and street savvy
- Ability to understand and apply innovation/new concepts to existing workflow or supply chain solutions.
