Sales and Marketing Officer
Working Hours: 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM & 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Monday to Saturday)
Location : Tram Khnar District, Takeo Province
Report to : Marketing Manager
SMO - will help to drive a business forward by selling water connection service to customers
Your role as a Sales & Marketing Officer is to sell company's water connection service to households, businesses, factories, resident development projects, and state building and non-governments organizations. SMO may be domestic (within province where the station located), from other provinces, or a combination of both.
You have to approach potential customers in license coverage areas with the aim of winning connection contract and strive to maintain good relationships with existing clients, new households, and local authorities wherever possible.
Sales and Marketing Officer - usually operate within one main category of sales is business to consumer (B2C).
- As a SMO, your duties will focus on B2C sales, your responsibilities include:
- D2D visit to households in the villages to encourage them to have access to water supply
- Contract with households who want to have access to piped water supply
- Handing all documents and payment from contracted clients to finance team
- Plan and disseminate the benefits of piped water in the community in collaboration with local authorities and relevant organizations.
- Listen to customer requirements and present appropriately to make a sale
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls
- Cold call to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new contract
- Respond to incoming phone call enquiries
- Challenge any objections with a view to get new customers
- Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales
- Gather market and customer information through survey and the note
- Make accurate cost calculations and providing households the comparison between sources of water consumption.
- Record sales information, send copies to admin. office, and enter data into a computer system
- Represent the company at village events and demonstrations
- Review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
- Attend team meetings and share best practice with colleagues and station
- With Station Manager attend village and commune meeting when there is a subject related to station business.

- The sales & marketing industry is target driven and as a consequence the work can sometimes be demanding and pressurized.
- Conditions of work vary widely according to field in which you operate. You could be based in the station or representative office of the company and 90% of time working at the field
- SMO is generally expected to look professional, particularly when liaising with clients
- The working culture created by management and colleagues can often be competitive

- Travel within a working day are common and may affect your social and personal life.
- Qualifications
- This opportunity is open to all candidates. These following subjects may improve your chances:
- Fresh graduated, or high school diploma
- Sales & marketing, business, or management
- 1 + years of experiences in sales, credit officer, or social business
- Fluent in Khmer language is a must
- English language would be a plus
- Basic computer knowledge (Word and Excel)
- Good personality and attitude
