Sales and Marketing Director
Reports To: General Manager
The Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for overseeing a ground up marketing campaign for the project. This means: involved in branding, signage and educational/interpretive graphics development, social media and website launch, sales and marketing strategy, among other areas listed specifically out below.
- General:
- Overseeing sales and marketing department.
- Evaluating and developing sales and marketing strategy
- Planning, directing, and coordinating sales and marketing efforts.
- Communicating with hospitality sectors to partner and promote the park
- Developing pricing strategies to maximize profits and market share while balancing customer satisfaction.
- Establishing communication to effectively market the park through local and international.
- Developing promotions and advertising.
- Understanding and developing marketing budgets.
- Developing and managing advertising campaigns.
- Building brand awareness and positioning.
- Coordinating marketing projects from start to finish.
- Organizing company conferences, trade shows, and major events.
- Overseeing social media marketing strategy and content marketing.
- Specific Responsibilities:
- The position will be employed prior to the opening of the project. Initial responsibilities will include understanding the project and vision of the project, work on branding and signage content creation, sales and marketing strategy, ticket pricing strategy and tour group sales strategy.
- Working with the GM to create an org chart and staffing plan. Positions such as: sales staff, content creation, graphic design, etc.
- Develop specific targeted sales strategy for the international clientele the project intends to target. This may include, targeted advertising campaigns globally, or country specific to attract foreign tourists.
- Establishing an accreditation plan with several of the leading accreditation organizations globally.
- Develop transportation strategy for tourist arrivals.
- Social Responsibilities:
- The Board expects to set a high bar with respect to social awareness within Siem Reap and Cambodia as a whole.
- Develop outreach programs for local schools and residents at the direction of the Board.
- Qualifications:
- This is a hands-on position. The Board requires someone actively involved in the operations and that cares deeply about the mission and goals.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Applicant must have good written and verbal communication skills, as well as an ability to work well with others, under pressure, organizing tasks for the most effective use of time.
- Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in one of the following sectors: sales and marketing, either for hospitality industry, or other relevant area. Preferable to have work experience in Cambodia or Southeast Asia and a clear understanding of labor law in the region. References will be required and spoken to.
- Language Skills
- Must be fluent in English. Khmer is a plus.
