Announcement Description

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Cambodia Country Office is conducting the following sealed bid for tax-exempted vehicles:

Conditions of Sale

Public Sale: (Sealed-Bid Sale as batch) The vehicles will be sold to the Bidder with the highest bid price. The award notice shall be written within 3 business days after the bid opening date.

  • Bid opening date and time: The bid opening will be conducted after the bid submission date and time.

The vehicles will be sold in their present condition without any warranty whatsoever.

Deposit. A successful Bidder must pay 10% of the bid price by direct deposit to the UNICEF bank account within 2 working days after notice of award. The remaining 90% must be paid within 7 working days before the vehicle can be released.

Taxes & Vehicle Plate. The vehicles are tax exempted; therefore, the Winner must pay all appropriate import taxes to the Government of Cambodia before the vehicle can be released from the UNICEF office, or the Winner must provide necessary documentation that can prove tax exemption. The existing ONU number plates will be removed and returned to the Ministry and the Buyer is accountable for registration for new number plates.

Right to Reject and Award. UNICEF office reserves the right to reject the award to the highest bidder under either of the following conditions:

  • (1) If the appropriate import tax to the Government of Cambodia is not paid within 30 days, or (2) if tax exemption documentation is not provided within 30 days after the bidder receives the vehicle’s import documents from the UNICEF office.
  • Any findings of a conflict of interest will not only disqualify the awardee but prohibit the bidder from any future bidding by UNICEF office.

Costs. Payments of the cost necessary to effect removal and transport of the vehicle from UNICEF office shall be the responsibility of the awardee.

Bidder Eligibility

  • Bidding qualification criteria.
  • To qualify, all bids shall start at least the minimum bidding price stated in the table above. Bid prices that are lower than the abovementioned minimum bidding price shall be rejected.
  • Bid must be securely sealed in the envelope and be submitted in original signature (copies will not be accepted).

Submission Requirements

The vehicle is available for inspection at UNICEF office premises from June 26th 2023 to July 7th 2023, by calling phone number provided in the contact details for the inspection arrangement during working days and hours.

Interested Buyers should submit their bids, before or at 11:00 AM July 7th, 2023, in a sealed envelope marked with “Vehicles Bid” and place in the Bidding Box at UNICEF Office provided . A blank BID form is also available and can be obtained at the UNICEF office reception desk.

Note: Please fill in the required information as noted as mandatory required; otherwise, your bidding will not be valid or automatically canceled.

Bid submission date and time: All bids must be submitted before or at 11:00 AM, July 7th, 2023. Late bids shall be rejected.
