Overall objective:
WF-Cambodia is now looking for Resource Mobilization Consultant to support the Programme Development Manager to secure sustainable funding streams. The Resource Mobilization Consultant will strengthen WWF-Cambodia’s fundraising pipeline by identifying funding opportunities, cultivating donor relationships, and developing high quality proposals aligned with programme priorities.
The role has a strong focus on donor intelligence gathering, high-quality proposal development, and assessing strategic engagement opportunities with the private sector, and trusts & foundations. The role is critical to diversifying income streams, strengthening donor relationships, and positioning the organisation as a credible and compelling partner for impact-driven funders.
The consultant will prioritise funding opportunities aligned with WWF Cambodia’s key thematic areas, including climate adaptation, nature-based solutions, freshwater ecosystem conservation, and sustainable livelihoods.
As a limited term consultancy, the main objective is to boost WWF-Cambodia’s fundraising by conducting donor research and setting up processes and tools which will support the organization in the longer term once the consultancy has ended, as well as delivering specific funding proposals.
Eligibility
- The Consultant(s) will work under the supervision of the WWF-Cambodia Programme Development Manager to fulfill the following tasks:
- Update the donor intelligence and funding pipeline tracker for WWF Cambodia and ensure it can be maintained and managed easily by WWF Cambodia staff once the consultancy has concluded
- Identify and analyse at least 10 relevant donor opportunities aligned with WWF Cambodia programme priorities and key thematic areas.
- Kickstart (specifics on which sections will be identified on a case-by-case basis) development of at least 03 full proposals for major donors, based on donor mapping, for at least 3-5 year duration, and at least 500,000 USD/year
- Strengthen internal proposal development processes and templates where needed, applying WWF best practices to improve WWF-Cambodia's systems.
- Support pipeline diversification to include under-represented donor types (e.g. corporate or trusts & foundations), using donor mapping
