Residential Educator

Position Summary

Reports to: Residential Supervisor

Location: Chroy Chongva, Phnom Penh

Start Date: 01 March 2026

Schedule: After-school hours Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri, full day Wednesday & weekends; 3 weeks on/1 week off, sleep-in required

Position Overview

The Residential Educator (RE) acts as a “house parent” and supports students’ physical, emotional, psychological, and educational needs in alignment with the Academy’s standards. The RE promotes the school’s core values—Integrity, Stewardship, Determination, Ingenuity, Optimism, and Appreciation—and helps maintain a positive, caring, and structured dorm environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Student Well-Being & Support
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive, homelike atmosphere.
  • Support students’ emotional, mental, and physical well-being.
  • Engage with students daily from 5:00pm onward.
  • Teach soft & life skills - communication, responsibility, chores, hygiene.
  • Assist with homework and encourage good study habits.
  • Dorm Hygiene & Life Skills
  • Train and assist students in cleaning their rooms and shared areas.
  • Monitor personal hygiene, including laundry.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dorm and help coordinate routine chores.
  • Safety & Supervision
  • Ensure student safety on and off campus; teach “stranger danger awareness.
  • Monitor and limit screen time according to guidelines.
  • Follow all safeguarding procedures and report concerns immediately.
  • Medical & Daily Care
  • Submit daily medical reports to the nurse (8:30am).
  • Report health or hygiene concerns to the nurse and Residential Supervisor.
  • Maintain first aid supplies and follow medical protocols.
  • Meals & Daily Routines
  • Attend meals with students and observe healthy eating habits.
  • Support positive mealtime behavior and nutritional awareness.
  • Home Supplies & Maintenance
  • Track inventory of home supplies (soap, toilet paper, etc.).
  • Report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Professional Conduct
  • Model the Academy’s core values and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Participate in required professional development.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
 
 

Bakery Chef

Job Description

The Bakery Chef / Pastry Chef plays a key role in producing high-quality baked goods and desserts that enhance the dining experience. This role supports menu development, product innovation, and brand consistency while maintaining strict food safety standards.

Work Schedule

  • Shift 1: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM or
  • Shift 2: 11:00 AM – 07:30 PM
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and bake a variety of bakery products such as breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts
  • Follow standardized recipes while ensuring consistent quality and taste
  • Develop new bakery items and seasonal specialties
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients and finished products
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace
  • Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and production schedules
  • Comply with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
  • Manage inventory, minimize waste, and report ingredient needs
  • Train and supervise junior bakery staff when required
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to meet daily production demands
  • Adhere strictly to scheduled working hours and demonstrate punctuality.
  • Exhibit honesty, reliability, and a strong work ethic in daily tasks.

The Commis I supports daily kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and assisting senior chefs during service periods. This role supports menu development, product innovation, and brand consistency while maintaining strict food safety standards.

Work Schedule

  • Shift 1: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM or
  • Shift 2: 11:00 AM – 07:30 PM
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, cook, and present food according to standard recipes and quality requirements.
  • Support daily kitchen operations and buffet replenishment.
  • Ensure portion control, consistency, and presentation standards.
  • Guide and support Commis II and kitchen helpers when required.
  • Ensure smooth workflow during service periods.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation.
  • Ensure cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Assist in stock handling, labeling, and FIFO practices.
  • Minimize food wastage and report quality or stock issues.
  • Support stock takes when required.
  • Communicate operational issues or shortages to supervisors
  • Support menu execution, special events, and daily production plans.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Work History:
  • Kitchen experience, preferably in hotels, lounges, or catering for 2 to 3 years

Work Schedule

  • Shift 1: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM or
  • Shift 2: 11:00 AM – 07:30 PM
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining area, tables, chairs, and floors; regularly sweep, mop, and dispose of trash properly.
  • Receive, clean, prepare, and store vegetables, meats, and other food items in accordance with food hygiene standards.
  • Adhere strictly to scheduled working hours and demonstrate punctuality.
  • Comply with all kitchen safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Exhibit honesty, reliability, and a strong work ethic in daily tasks.
