EFI - École Française Internationale is a French-English bilingual school established in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in August 2016. EFI is a private school which implements a unique bilingual program based on the French Ministry of Education's and the Cambridge Assessment International Education curriculums. This dual curriculum in French and English meets the needs of multilingual and multicultural students.

The EFI shares the campus of CIS - Canadian International School (an English-speaking school accredited by the province of Alberta, Canada), with which it has developed numerous partnerships.

EFI is recruiting substitute teachers (French or English) at all levels from Kindergarten through High school.

The substitute teacher is required to teach a class or more when the homeroom teacher is absent or unavailable.

Duties

Complete the lesson plan provided by the homeroom teacher
Create lessons and learning environments that are safe, respectful, and interesting as well as multicultural/gender and ability fair/developmentally appropriate. Select, adapt and individualize materials appropriate for diverse student populations and skill levels.
Teach students the required curricula using strategies that foster thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving
Supervise students at all times
Enforce the rules of the school and classroom
Straighten the classroom at the end of the assignment
Collaborate with the other team members
Report to the homeroom teacher about student behavior and progress

Requirements

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Education
Native French or English speaker
A good mastery of new technologies and teaching applications is desirable
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children in the international environment
