Researcher cum Analyst
We are seeking an OSINT Research Specialist who will be responsible for conducting comprehensive research using open-source intelligence techniques, alongside primary and secondary research methods. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to compile accurate, well-structured reports based on the findings.

- Conduct OSINT research to collect data from a variety of open sources, including social media, websites, forums, public records, and news outlets.
- Engage in primary research activities such as interviews, surveys, and field observations to gather first-hand data.
- Conduct secondary research by reviewing existing reports, articles, journals, and academic publications.
- Analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, documentation, and presentations based on research findings.
- Collaborate with team members to refine research objectives, methodologies, and data analysis techniques.
- Maintain ethical research standards and ensure data privacy and confidentiality.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and techniques in OSINT and other research methodologies.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Relations, Social Sciences, Criminology, Data Science, or related discipline). A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in OSINT research, primary and secondary research, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Demonstrates openness to acquiring new knowledge and continuously improving skills in a start-up environment.
- Excellent report writing and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using OSINT tools, research databases, and data visualization software.
- Knowledge of information verification and fact-checking techniques.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present findings clearly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience: 3-6 years
- Experience in using advanced OSINT tools (e.g., Maltego, Shodan, Google Dorking).
- Familiarity with data analysis software (e.g., Excel, Python, R).
- Experience working in [specific sector or industry, e.g., human trafficking, cybersecurity, social research].
- Multilingual skills are an asset.
