Research Fellow

- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, implement and manage research projects according to the themes and priorities of the GHRC;
- Ensure the supervision of implementation and data collection; conduct analyses, interpret and evaluate research data to produce meaningful conclusions;
- Write and publish peer-reviewed articles; elaborate research reports and present findings at conferences and seminars;
- Identify funding opportunities and write proposals to support research projects;
- Guide and mentor junior researchers, students and research assistants.
- Comply with the assignment of the Project Manager and the UHS.
- EXPECTED OUTPUTS:
- Multi-year roadmap including at least 2 ongoing research projects per year; and the development of 2 proposals per year;
- Research valorization portfolio including at least 2 abstracts submitted to national/international conferences; 3-4 articles submitted to peer-reviewed journals including 2 publications per year;
- Mentoring of research assistants involved in the research fellow’s research, and at least 1 postgraduate student per year;
- Report of annual research performance including metrics, challenges and recommendations.
- Phd in or equivalent in Epidemiology, Public Health, or other area related with health sciences;
- Experience in research with a proven record of peer-reviewed publications and presentations at conferences for 2 years as a minimum
- Experience in multidisciplinary research and engagement with external partners (research institutions, public sector, industry, stakeholders);
- Experience in managing multiple projects, tracking deadlines, and supervising junior researchers.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking;
- Proficiency in relevant methodologies and statistical software;
- Excellent written and verbal communication for the elaboration of reports, proposals and presentation of findings to both academic and general audiences;
- Proven competency in research dissemination, knowledge transfer, and valorization processes;
- Understanding of research governance, ethics, funding mechanisms and institutional partnerships;
- Autonomy and ability for work in multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary collaborations;
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
