PURPOSE OF THIS CONTRACT
The purpose of this assignment is to produce a high-quality promotional video that documents and showcases the conservation achievements, biodiversity, community livelihoods, and ecotourism potential of the Sang Rukhavorn Community Protected Area in Oddar Meanchey Province. The video will serve as an advocacy and communication tool, capturing the unique relationship between local communities, Buddhist monks, and forest ecosystems, while highlighting the area's environmental, social, and cultural significance.
The video is expected to strengthen public appreciation of the protected area and demonstrate the value of community-led conservation. It will promote sustainable ecotourism and local cultural heritage, inspire greater engagement from government agencies, development partners, conservation organizations, and visitors, and support ongoing efforts to protect natural resources. Ultimately, the video will contribute to the long-term conservation of forest ecosystems and the sustainable development of communities that depend on them.
SCOPE OF WORK
The video production shall aim to promote awareness of the ecological and conservation importance of the Sang Rukhavorn Community Protected Area by highlighting its rich biodiversity, natural landscapes, and cultural values. It will showcase the significant contributions of local communities and Buddhist monks in forest conservation and natural resource management, while documenting community livelihoods that depend on the sustainable use of forest resources. The video will also promote responsible and sustainable ecotourism opportunities within the community and encourage support from relevant stakeholders for long-term forest conservation and sustainable development initiatives. Eligibility
- The service provider should have the following competencies:
- Professional expertise in journalism, editing, creative writing or equivalent combination of relevant experience,
- Ability to produce concept storyboards/peg boards for internal coordination purposes,
- Highly experienced in videography, videography and well-versed in social media,
- Expertise in setting up sound and lighting for video purposes,
- Up to date on trends in video technology as well as social media and web marketing,
- Understanding of broadcasting, video encoding equipment, video codecs, and live video delivery systems,
- Ability to translate from English to Khmer and Khmer to English,
- Excellent writing and storytelling expertise,
- Interpersonal skills necessary for successful communication with customers and team members,
- Ability to work independently and under tight time constraints, and
- Creative and outgoing, enjoys bringing new ideas to the table during brainstorming sessions.
