Position Summary

The position is for the Afternoon Shift

Stay Nature Group is seeking a confident, service-oriented, and experienced Reception Supervisor (Afternoon Shift) to oversee Front Office operations during the afternoon and early evening period. The Reception Supervisor will lead the reception team, ensure smooth guest check-ins and check-outs, handle guest concerns, and maintain high service standards while supporting the Front Office Manager in daily operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Front Office operations during the afternoon shift, ensuring smooth and efficient guest service.
  • Lead, coach, and support reception staff to maintain professional service standards.
  • Manage guest check-ins, check-outs, room changes, and special requests efficiently.
  • Handle guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfactory resolution.
  • Coordinate closely with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure room availability and readiness.
  • Monitor cash handling, billing accuracy, and adherence to Front Office procedures.
  • Prepare and review daily shift reports, handover notes, and occupancy updates.
  • Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Act as Duty Supervisor when required during the shift.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, attendance monitoring, and shift handovers.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, SOPs, and security procedures.
  • Support VIP arrivals, group check-ins, and special events during the afternoon shift.
  • Promote teamwork and effective communication within the Front Office team.

Languages:
  • English - Good
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma in or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or related field is preferred
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Minimum 2–4 years of Front Office experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel PMS systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
Soft Skills

The Receptionist will be responsible for providing smooth guest check-in and check-out services, handling guest inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming experience while maintaining hotel service standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Welcome guests warmly and handle check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
  • Assist guests with inquiries, requests, and complaints in a polite and professional manner.
  • Manage room reservations, updates, cancellations, and modifications in the PMS system.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure room availability and readiness.
  • Process guest payments, billing, and cashiering accurately.
  • Handle incoming phone calls and respond to emails professionally.
  • Maintain accurate guest records and daily Front Office reports.
  • Prepare handover notes and communicate important information to the next shift.
  • Keep the reception area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Support VIP arrivals, walk-in guests, and group check-ins during the shift.
  • Follow hotel policies, SOPs, security, and safety procedures.
  • Assist supervisors and team members during busy periods or special situations.
