Job Purpose / Summary
The Receptionist & Cashier provides front-line customer service and administrative support to ensure high levels of parent/student satisfaction. This role is also responsible for handling student registration, receiving payments, maintaining financial records, supporting office functions, and reporting inventory and income data accurately.
Scope of Work / Decision-Making Authority
- Acts as the school’s first point of contact for visitors, parents, and external stakeholders
- Handles enrollment, payment collection, and daily income documentation
- Maintains attendance reports and supports communication with families
- Provides secretarial and administrative support to teachers and office staff
- Escalates issues beyond standard scope to Admin/Finance Manager
- Customer Service & Front Desk Management
- Greet and welcome parents, visitors, and guests professionally
- Handle phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries promptly and courteously
- Address customer feedback or concerns with appropriate follow-up or escalation
- Student Enrollment & Payment Handling
- Register students into the school database
- Issue official receipts for all cash/bank transactions
- Maintain accurate records of payment history and student information
- Communication & Attendance Coordination
- Inform parents about school events, fees, and reminders
- Track student attendance and report concerns to relevant parties
- Coordinate with teachers on late arrivals or absentee notices
- Financial & Inventory Reporting
- Prepare accurate daily income reports and perform end-of-day cash reconciliations
- Generate monthly canteen income summaries
- Record and report daily stock in/out for school supplies or merchandise
- Office & Clerical Support
- Maintain organized filing systems for student and financial records
- Assist in typing, copying, and preparing documents or letters
- Support teachers and admin team with clerical tasks as needed
- School Participation
- Attend school meetings, training, and parent events as required
- Participate in student activities, field trips, and school programs
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the Admin/Finance Manager or School Principal
- Khmer - Fluent
- English - Fluent
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Office Management, or a related field
- Experience in customer service, cashier, or front office roles (preferably in a school or service-oriented institution) for 1 year as a minimum
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Khmer and English
- Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities
- High level of attention to detail, especially in financial transactions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiar with Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs)
- Basic knowledge of cash management systems and receipts recording
- Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
- Positive and friendly customer service attitude
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling records and reports

Position Purpose
The HR Intern supports the Human Resources Department in delivering efficient HR operations across AYLA and its partner school network. The role contributes to recruitment, HR systems, employee records, and engagement initiatives, while gaining hands-on experience in a professional education environment.
This position is designed to support AYLA’s goals in building a strong teacher pipeline, maintaining high professional standards, and ensuring effective HR systems aligned with organisational growth.
- Recruitment & Talent Pipeline Support
- Assist in posting job vacancies across platforms and university networks
- Screen CVs and support shortlisting of candidates
- Coordinate interview schedules with candidates and hiring panels
- Maintain and update recruitment trackers and candidate databases
- Support initiatives to build a teacher and intern talent pipeline
- Onboarding & Staff Records
- Assist in preparing onboarding documents and employee files
- Support new staff onboarding and orientation logistics
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records (physical and digital)
- Ensure proper filing of contracts and HR documentation
- HR Operations & Administration
- Support attendance tracking, leave records, and timesheets
- Assist in preparing HR letters, reports, and internal documentation
