Quantity Surveyor Manager (2 Positions)
Duties, Responsibilities
Expectations - - Responsible for the cost of any building project - from initial estimates, right through to the acquisition of materials and closing of project
- Prepare tender and contract documents, costing, bills of quantities and other details regarding quantities of required materials
- Perform and manage project activity scheduling & monitoring on using milestone progress, CPM and advanced scheduling, analysis & reporting techniques
- Detailed knowledge of building and construction technology, processes, materials, business and legal matters
- Undertake cost analysis and planning for new construction, repair and maintenance project work
- Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies
- Perform risk, value management and cost control
- Provide analysis on contractual claims, value completed work and arrange payments
- Contract Negotiation and Contract Management
- Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks
- Analyse completed work and arranging payment to contractors
- Conduct regular site visits, assessments and projections for future work
- Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use
- Provide advice and forecasts about costs and procurement strategy
- Demonstrate innovative approaches to problem solving and an ability to negotiate across the various levels of any construction environment
- Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural, Mathematics, Construction or related field
- Having minimum of 5-10 years of Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor, Project Controls or similar capacity in project estimating and cost controlling preferably in Cambodia or in SEA
- Ability to write clear and precise reports and to relate complex information in a simple way to a diverse range of people
- Being excellent communicators and possess impressive numeracy skills to handle the financial and mathematical demands of the role
- Understand the implications of HSES health, safety, environmental and security regulations
- Excellent English language skills in reading, speaking, writing and listening
- Having excellent computer skills (AutoCAD, Advanced MS Excel, advanced MS Project, MS Access, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
- An investigative, practical and logical mind, methodical way of thinking and attention to details
- Must be honest, committed, responsible, willing to work hard, self-motivated, confident and be able to work as a leader and team member.
