Position Overview
The Project Officer – Construction is responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring and reporting of BAMBOOS' construction and renovation projects in Cambodia. The position works closely with the Head of Construction and Project Manager to ensure construction projects are implemented effectively, on schedule and according to agreed quality standards and project requirements. The Project Officer will regularly coordinate with schools, communities, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders and will support site monitoring, documentation and reporting.
The position is primarily focused on construction and renovation projects. However, as BAMBOOS is a small and collaborative organisation, the Project Officer may also be assigned to support projects under another department when required by organisational priorities and where the assignment is appropriate to their skills and capacity.
.Working Approach
The Project Officer – Construction is primarily responsible for construction and renovation projects, but may be assigned to support projects under another department when organisational needs require it.
The specific project assignment may change over time based on project requirements, staff capacity, organizational priorities, and the employee’s skills and development.
Such assignments will be coordinated by the Country Manager in consultation with the relevant Heads of Department and will normally be for specific projects or periods of time.
- Project Planning & Implementation
- Support the planning and implementation of assigned BAMBOOS Construction and Renovation projects.
- Assist with project plans, activity schedules, timelines and implementation arrangements.
- Coordinate assigned project activities with schools, communities, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Follow up on project activities and deadlines.
- Support the preparation and organisation of project materials and documentation and project site visit.
- Identify implementation, quality or scheduling issues and report them to the Project Manager or Head of Construction.
- Ensure assigned activities are implemented according to approved plans, specifications and procedures.
- Construction Monitoring & Quality
- Support regular monitoring of construction and renovation activities at project sites
- Follow up on construction progress, workmanship, materials and agreed specifications.
- Document construction progress through photographs, measurements, site notes and reports as required.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers on routine project matters.
- Identify construction or quality concerns and report them promptly.
- Support the Project Manager in following up on corrective actions.
- Ensure project documentation related to construction activities is properly maintaine.
- . Coordination & Stakeholder Support
- Maintain positive working relationships with schools, communities, contractors and suppliers.
- Coordinate site visits, meetings and project activities as assigned.
- Support communication between BAMBOOS, schools, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Follow up on agreed actions and deadlines.
- Represent BAMBOOS professionally during project activities and meetings when required.
- Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting
- Collect project information, site records, photographs and other supporting evidence.
- Maintain accurate and organised project documentation.
- Support monitoring of project progress against approved plans, timelines and outputs.
- Prepare site updates and supporting information for project reports.
- Contribute to internal and donor reporting as requested.
- Document project challenges, achievements and lessons learned.
- Administrative & Cross-Department Support
- Support project-related procurement, logistics and administrative arrangements.
- Assist with project budget documentation and financial supporting documents when required.
- Support the Project Manager and Head of Construction with other project-related tasks.
- Work collaboratively with Finance, Education and other BAMBOOS teams when required.
- Support projects under another department when assigned by the Country Manager in consultation with the relevant Head of Department.
- Carry out other reasonable duties related to BAMBOOS' programmes and operations.

Position Overview
The Admin Officer is responsible for supporting the smooth and effective day-to-day administration and operations of BAMBOOS Cambodia. The position provides administrative, HR, office management, logistics and general operational support to the organisation. The Admin Officer works closely with the Head of Finance, management and other team members to ensure administrative processes are organised, properly documented and implemented in accordance with BAMBOOS policies and procedures. The role requires a well-organised, responsible, proactive and service-oriented person who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy and attention to detail.
Working Approach
The Admin Officer is expected to provide reliable and flexible administrative support across BAMBOOS Cambodia.
The position works primarily with the Head of Finance and supports management and other departments as required. The Admin Officer may coordinate administrative activities with staff, suppliers, service providers and other stakeholders but does not have formal staff management responsibilities.
As BAMBOOS continues to grow, the responsibilities of the position may develop alongside the organisation's administrative systems, policies and structures.
