Location: Good Link Office, Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Hydroponic Farm Management
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily hydroponic farm operations.
- Manage the complete crop production cycle, including seed germination, transplanting, crop maintenance, harvesting, and post-harvest handling.
- Ensure continuous production according to the farm production schedule
- Technical Support and Capacity Building
- Operate and monitor hydroponic systems such as Nutrient Film Technique (NFT), Deep Water Culture (DWC), Drip Irrigation, or Vertical Hydroponics.
- Monitor and maintain pumps, reservoirs, irrigation lines, filtration systems, and fertigation equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and coordinate preventive maintenance.
- Nutrient and Water Management
- Prepare and manage nutrient solutions according to crop growth stages.
- Monitor and adjust pH and Electrical Conductivity (EC) levels.
- Ensure water quality meets production standards.
- Optimize water and fertilizer use to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
- Environmental Control
- Monitor temperature, humidity, light intensity, CO₂ levels, and ventilation.
- Operate automated climate control systems to maintain optimal growing conditions.
- Record environmental data and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Crop Health and Quality Management
- Monitor crop growth, plant health, and productivity.
- Identify nutrient deficiencies, physiological disorders, pests, and diseases.
- Implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices suitable for hydroponic systems.
- Ensure harvested vegetables meet quality and food safety standards.
- Smart Farming Technology
- Operate IoT sensors, automated irrigation systems, environmental monitoring equipment, and digital farm management software.
- Analyze system-generated data to improve crop performance and operational efficiency.
- Support the integration of new smart farming technologies.
- Data Collection and Reporting
- Maintain accurate production, environmental, and maintenance records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly technical reports.
- Analyze production data and recommend improvements.
- Training and Technical Support
- Train farm workers, technicians, and project beneficiaries on hydroponic production techniques.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical training materials.
- Provide technical advice and troubleshooting support.
- Inventory and Resource Management
- Monitor stocks of seeds, nutrients, growing media, packaging materials, and spare parts.
- Prepare procurement requests and maintain inventory records.
- Ensure efficient utilization of project resources and farm equipment.
- Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), food safety, hygiene, and occupational health and safety standards.
- Promote environmentally sustainable farming practices.
- Ensure compliance with project policies, donor requirements, and environmental regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by line managers.
- Marketing
- Basic understanding of local agricultural markets, buyer preferences (e.g., restaurants, grocery stores, local consumers), and pricing for high-value hydroponic crops.Sales &
- Ability to identify potential buyers, pitch fresh produce to local markets or restaurants, and secure sales orders once crops are successfully grown.
- Coordinate the packaging, storage, and timely delivery of harvested produce to ensure it reaches buyers at peak freshness.
- Vegetable branding work to promote sales
- Work related to obtaining variety quality certification for produced vegetables

Expected Profile of Candidates
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy/ Agriculture/Plant Science, or related field
Work History:
- Fresh graduate, and experience in hydroponic vegetable production or controlled environment agriculture for 1 year
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
- Experience with smart farming technologies and environmental monitoring systems is an advantage.
- Hydroponic Systems: Working knowledge of soil-less systems (NFT, DWC, Drip, or Vertical).
- Horticulture: Familiarity with the basic crop lifecycle, from germination to harvest.
- Nutrient Management: Understanding how to measure and adjust pH and EC levels.
- Crop Health: Basic awareness of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and how to spot common pests or nutrient deficiencies.
- Standards: General awareness of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and basic farm safety.
- Technical Operations: Ability to operate and assist in maintaining daily equipment (pumps, climate controls, and irrigation lines).
- Smart Farming: Comfortable using digital farm management tools and reading basic IoT sensor data.
- Farm Support: Assist in executing daily production schedules, tracking inventory, and organizing resources.
- Data & Reporting: Diligent record-keeping for environmental data and assisting with routine technical reports.
- Good Command of the English / Khmer languages.
