JSI/WE is looking for a Project Officer to support National Immunization Program (NIP) under the Ministry of Health (MoH). Through financial support from UNICEF, JSI/WE is providing the technical support to develop an e-Learning course on Immunization in Practice for health staff across Cambodia. The course is designed to strengthen knowledge and practice among frontline healthcare workers on vaccine administration, cold chain management, and outreach strategies in line with national and WHO guidelines.

Project Officer (1 Position)

Position Summary

This position will be 6 months (June - November 2025)

The Project Officer will play a key role in assisting the Project Lead in the day-to-day logistical and coordination aspects of the development and piloting implementation of an e-Learning course on Immunization in Practice for frontline health staff in Cambodia. Under the guidance of the Project Lead and in close coordination with the Ministry of Health’s National Immunization Program (NIP), this position will assist in facilitating project planning, stakeholder engagement, and content development processes. The officer will assist with organizing meetings and workshops, providing logistical and administrative support, coordinating pilot testing activities, and documenting project progress. This role requires strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills, along with a commitment to improving public health and digital learning in Cambodia.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Help the Project Lead to organize meetings, consultations, workshops, and validation sessions with the Ministry of Health, NIP, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide support as requested to the content experts, consultants, and instructional designers as they develop and review or translate training materials and interactive content.
  • Provide logistical support for meetings, workshops, and travel arrangements for staff and stakeholders.
  • Assist in updating and reviewing a detailed project work plan, monitoring progress against milestones and timelines.
  • Support the development of project monitoring tools to track progress.
  • Document key activities, and lessons learned throughout the course development process.
  • Draft and contribute to narrative reports, presentations to be submitted to donors, partners, and the MoH/NIP.
  • Assist in prototype testing and user manual testing developed by the project.
  • Coordinate the pilot testing of the course with health staff in selected provinces.
  • Collect user feedback from pilot participants and assist in analyzing results to inform final revisions under the guidance from the Project Lead.
  • Assist in development of user manual and training materials.
  • Assist in provision of training to administrator as requested.
  • Assist Project Lead in other areas, as requested.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Project Management, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in project officer in the health or education sector.
  • Proven experience coordinating complex projects involving government agencies or development partners.
  • Experience supporting training programs or digital learning development is highly desirable. Experience with Learning Management System is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the Cambodian health system, education program, or professional training systems is a strong advantage.
