Project Leader (1 Position)
Reports To: Provincial Coordinator/Project Manager
Position Purpose: Under the SEL project funded by ChildFund Cambodia, CRDT seeks a Project Leader to lead and supervise the field officers to accomplish the project activities and strategies to meet the objectives and goals within the assigned area as required by the Provincial Project Manager. The Project Leader must ensure effective and efficient project management and oversee financial and operational activities, mainly producing the technical narrative reports to donors under the line manager's guidance.
- CRDT Level Involvement
- Liaise regularly with the CRDT’s operational plan regarding the project's implementation and development of project implementation strategies.
- Liaise with relevant government agencies and staff, Commune Council members, Village Development Committees, local and international NGOs, and other stakeholders involved with the project.
- Conduct regular meetings (at least two times a month) with project teams to ensure smooth implementation and management decisions are communicated.
- Regularly join PM monthly meetings headed by Provincial Project Manager or Operations Manager and report all critical issues to ensure those problems will be timely addressed.
- Develop the new proposal and regularly do the annual global budget with Management Team.
- Engage with other projects as the technical support related to the existing knowledge and skills
- Familiarise yourself with CRDT Policies including CP and PSEAH, CRDT Development Projects, and the project villages CRDT works.
- Project Level Involvement
- Ensure effectiveness of project activities and ensure projects are implemented to meet the targets
- Develop and implement project monitoring and ensure data is collected and correctly stored.
- Manage project finances and design project work plans for implementing livelihood and development interventions and establishing the commune youth groups.
- Lead and coordinate all Field Officers to prepare monthly budgets and work plans, advance budgets, and clear all funds and receipts with the finance team.
- Organizing the pre-implementation work of the project related to the village assessment to make the project location profile, project launching, and youth members selection.
- Support the Field Officer to interview stakeholders and beneficiaries to monitor and evaluate the project.
- Support the Field Officer in organizing the project events such as meetings, training, and other project events that play key roles in the following:
- Support the Field Officer in preparing the pieces of training materials and handouts before the events are conducted.
- Support the Field Officer to facilitate trainings or meetings as an input to lead the meeting successfully and effectively.
- Support the Field Officer in interacting and informing the stakeholders or targeted youths about the project activities and event organizing.
- Make sure all hot issues will be reported to the Provincial Project Manager to solve on time.
- Prepare monthly reports, work plans, and budget plans for the project.
- Manage and track the monthly output monitoring sheet
- Participate in conducting the project baseline survey, project Mid-Term Review, and the End project evaluation
- Prepare and submit the monthly project progress updates to ChildFund Cambodia
- Write quarterly reports and case studies to submit to ChildFund Cambodia under the guidance of the Provincial Project Manager.
- Prepare and submit the quarterly fund request with endorsement from CRDT’s management to ChildFund Cambodia
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, or periodic meetings with ChildFund Cambodia on project progress, discussing challenges, and finding solutions.
- Be the representative of the CRDT team to communicate directly with ChildFund Cambodia about the project intervention in the field.
- Prepare and horst the visitor from ChildFund Cambodia or donor at the project sites (if any)
- Provide technical assistance to the Field Officer and the targeted youths on the lifeskill, prepare the youth group action plan to conduct the peer education sessions, leadership, CIP/CDP, Gender, and micro-grant coordination.
- Appropriately interact with the youths, caregivers, and local authorities (villager chief, commune, and district).
- Organize and lead the project team meeting at least twice a month to prepare the activity plan, review the achievement, and problem/solution identification.
- Attend meetings and or training organized by local partners or other NGOs as required
- Any other duties as requested by the Provincial Project Manager, or Operations Manager.
- Bachelor degree or similar degree in rural development, Social Science, Rural Sociology
- Excellent leadership qualities and communication skills
- Experience at least three years of managing the project, report writing to donor, project M&E, writing the case study, etc.
- Experience at least three years of working with the youths, especially the life skill, leadership, youth peer sessions, etc.
- Experience at least five years of working with youth and stakeholders in the CIP and CDP engagement process and granting to commune youth groups to implement their micro-grant project.
- Experience with teamwork, facilitation skill, leadership, and training/meeting organizing.
- Able to drive a motorbike and be willing to travel on rough terrain for this field-based position, particularly when traveling by boat (requirement).
- English skills are at the satisfied level.
- Willingness to live and work in remote rural areas
- Have computer skills (Ms. Word, Ms. Excel, Ms. Power Point, Email)
- Must be familiar with the Child Safeguarding and PSEAH policy of the organization
- Must be familiar with forest and wildlife conservation efforts (not eat and trade the timber and wildlife meat).
Field Officer (1 Position)
Reports To: Project Team Leader
Position Purpose: Under the SEL project funded by ChildFund Cambodia, CRDT seeks a Filed Officer to Implement the project activity in the field and ensure all planned activities in 17 villages of 2 communes are completed on time within the assigned area as directed by the Project Team Leader. Ensure to effectively and efficiently interact with the youth groups, youth leaders, commune, village chief, and other stakeholders regarding the project implementation.
- Familiarise yourself with CRDT Policies including CP and PSEAH, CRDT Development Projects, and the project villages CRDT works with.
- Assist the Project Team Leader in organizing the pre-implementation work of the project related to the village assessment to make the project location profile, project launching, and youth members selection.
- Join the Project Team Leader and M&E unit to interview stakeholders and beneficiaries to monitor and evaluate the project.
- Assist the Project Team Leader in organizing the project events such as meetings, training, and other project events that play key roles in the following:
- Assist the Project Team Leader in preparing the pieces training materials and handouts before the events are conducted.
- Assist the Project Team Leader in facilitating during training or meetings as an input to lead the meeting successfully and effectively.
- Prepare meeting minutes or training report
- Interact and inform the stakeholders or targeted youths about the project activities and event organizing.
- Record and hold all action plans whose participants make during pieces of training or meetings to practice with each other. The field officer is expected to follow up and provide additional coaches to youth leaders based on their action plans which are recorded and held. Then, the data will be collected regularly and submitted to the Project Team Leader.
