The position is for Peace Village Project
Location: Malai District, Banteay Meanchey Province
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The position is responsible for facilitating the implementation and monitoring the project activities according to the approved project design and aligned with the donor rules and regulations; working closely with other staff, partners and stakeholders in the community to achieve the project goal to develop inclusive and sustainable rural communities through improved living conditions, increased sustainable income, and strengthened governance for rural development with close cooperation with District Administrative, Commune Council, VDC, READA, other contractor deployed by KOICA and community people.
- Project Management & Partnering
- Work closely with READA and monitor their training activities in the field.
- Coordinate with Village Development Committee (VDC) and Agricultural Cooperatives (AC) to mobilize resources and support poor/vulnerable farmers.
- Facilitate collaboration with key partners to provide services and technical support for horticulture farming.
- Represent the project in meetings and forums at village, commune, and district levels.
- Project Management and Implementation
- Implement and monitor community-based development activities.
- Provide training to Village Development Committee (VDC) and relevant stakeholders.
- Support the selection of project beneficiaries based on established criteria.
- Assist and coach farmers on agricultural production and market linkages.
- Support the development of the annual plan, budget, and procurement plan for assigned districts.
- Monitoring, Evaluation, and Compliance
- Monitor partner activities and field implementation.
- Support and monitor village projects, including WASH facilities and infrastructure at schools, health centres, and villages.
- Ensure project activities follow project guidelines and compliance requirements.
- Data Analysis, Reporting, and Documentation
- Collect and analyse field data related to project activities and farmer progress.
- Prepare activity reports and maintain project documentation.
- Provide updates and information for project management and partners.
- English - Good
- Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture or Agronomy or Rural Development or Economic Development, or equivalent.
- At least experience in agriculture, Social, livelihood development, community development, or any relevant roles for 2 years
- Experiences in coordination and facilitation on technical training of agriculture and livelihood or income generation to communities
- Experience in project and program design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and report writing.
- Knowledge of community mobilization techniques.
- Computer literate; Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Competent in verbal and written English communication.
- Analytical/problem-solving skills and detail-oriented skills.
- Can work independently as well as work well in a team.
- Exhibits gentleness, humbleness, and patience.
- Willing to travel and stay overnight in the rural community.
