Position Summary

Reporting To Head of Public Relations and Financial Inclusion

Main Purpose

The main purpose of the Project Coordinator—Financial Inclusion is is to drive the successful execution and monitoring of initiatives that bridge the gap between underserved communities and essential financial services. Serving as the central hub connecting stakeholders, partners, financial institutions, and local communities. The coordinator ensures that digital and financial literacy (DFL) and consumer protection (CP) programs are delivered effectively and sustainably. Ultimately, this role is dedicated to empowering women, youth, and marginalized populations by giving them the tools and secure access needed to achieve long-term financial stability.

Job Brief

We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Project Coordinator to lead and oversee our Financial Inclusion initiatives. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring projects aimed at expanding access to safe, affordable, and sustainable financial services (such as banking, micro-finance, digital wallets, consumer protection and financial literacy programs) to women, youth, unbanked and underserved communities. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of project management background, understanding of financial inclusion ecosystems, and a passion for socio-economic development.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate day-to-day project activities to ensure milestones are met on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Act as the point of contact for project stakeholders, including partners, financial institutions, local communities, NGOs, and government bodies.
  • Monitor project resources and ensure the availability of necessary tools and materials.
  • Organize and facilitate community outreach, consumer protection and financial literacy workshops, and training sessions for target beneficiaries.
  • Assist in gathering data on community needs, barriers to financial access, and market trends to help refine project strategies.
  • Assist in managing the project budget, tracking expenditures, and ensuring compliance with objectives of the Association.
  • Coordinate with external consultants, vendors, and training agencies to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • Khmer - Good
  • English - Good
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Banking, Development Studies, Communication, Business Administration, or a related field
Work History:
  • Experience in project coordination, ideally within community development, financial inclusion, microfinance for 3 to 5 years
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of financial inclusion challenges, digital financial services (DFS), and regulatory frameworks.
  • Good knowledge of financial concepts and banking products
  • Good command of English and Khmer
  • Proficiency in project management tools and strong command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Soft Skills
  • Exceptional cross-cultural communication, community mobilization, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and presentations skills
