Project Coordinator for the Mobile Engagement Unit project implementing Safe Migration and Trafficking Awareness (SMTA) and Ministry activities. The position will be based in Sampov Loun district, Battambang Province but will require significant travel for organizing events in other Program Areas of Samaritan’s Purse projects.
The Project Coordinator for SMTA and Ministry will assist the Program Manager in coordinating the MEU project objectives and expected results successfully. This position will lead the coordination with other programs, other project staff, community leaders and local church partners to develop clear plan and performance strategy for creatively hosting large community events in multiple provinces. The MEU project will host independent events focusing on SMTA in target communities and also in supporting community events to be run by other Samaritan’s Purse programs in the sectors of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Protection, Health & Nutrition, Livelihoods, and Education.

- Assist program manager and work with other project staff to develop and implement advanced event planning and event strategies with clear timelines.
- Assist program manager to conduct community assessments and selections for the independent village targets of the project.
- Coordinate with local church partners and community leaders from the areas of MEU hosted events to identify needs for SMTA messages.
- Coordinate with other Samaritan’s Purse programs in planning and organizing the events in different target areas to support other program staff.
- Assist the program manager through maintaining strong budget organization to ensure cost effectiveness and tracking expenditures.
- Support the program manager through maintaining relationships and approvals in place with government ministries and provincial government.
- Facilitates and implements project community events through planning, coordination, set up, and take down for all MEU events and support events.
- Display good team spirit to ensure that project objectives are achieved and that everyone has an accurate understanding about the project progress, challenges, and future planning.
- Manage and organize collection of accurate activity data and compiling for monitoring and evaluation.
- Develop and submit timely, accurate monthly reports to program manager.
- Work with the team members to collect quality photos and write impact stories which are sent to our program manager on a monthly basis.
- Assist the program manager with other related tasks as required.
- Background experience with safe migration and trafficking prevention is an advantage.
- Strong community mobilization skills and good understanding of holistic transformation concepts.
- Strong English skills are preferred.
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point are preferred.
- Experience in management topics such as planning, organization, monitoring, controlling, facilitation, training and coaching.
- Required to have a valid Vehicle Category B Driver License and know how to ride a motorbike.
