Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH) is a governmental organization affiliated with the Ministry of Health and Welfare of the Republic of Korea. KOFIH provides government-level health assistance for partner countries, and operates Dr LEE Jong-wook Fellowship Program, which is KOFIH’s global invitational training program for strengthening the capacity of health workforce. KOFIH has been cooperating with the Ministry of Health of Cambodia to improve the healthcare services since 2011 in maternal and child health and more recently in non-communicable disease management. Mission of KOFIH in Cambodia

Within the framework of Agreement between the Ministry of Health (MoH) of Cambodia and KOFIH, we support Cambodia in:

  1. Capacity Building for Neonatal Care Service (NCS) Project with the support of the Community Chest of Korea (CCK)
  2. Capacity building of Human Resources in health sector
  3. Other areas of healthcare agreed by both KOFIH and the MoH

Project Coordinator

Position Summary

Position: A full-time Project Coordinator for Capacity Building for Neonatal Care Service (NCS) Project of CCK

KOFIH runs CCK project with substantial amount of financial resources to effectively implement its collaborative program with the Cambodian Government. In order to successfully carry out our due mission, KOFIH is seeking one qualified Cambodian-national candidate to join our office for the position of a Project Coordinator for the “Capacity Building for Neonatal Care Service (NCS)” which is implemented from 2021 with the support of the Community Chest of Korea (CCK).

* Community Chest of Korea (CCK): A legal non-profit organization specializing in fundraising and distribution based on citizens; voluntary participation in Korea

Conditions of Contract

  • Terms of employment: A fiscal year based contract subject to 3-month probationary period with possibility for extension based on work performance
  • Benefits: The newly hired employee will be eligible for benefits, such as private medical insurance, medical check-up, educational support, yearly bonus and severance payment, after the probation period comes to an end.

Description of Duties

  • Duty hours: 8:00 AM-17:00 PM (Mon-Fri)
  • Duty location: KOFIH Cambodia office in Battambang province. (Employee may work any place within the project area under the instruction of the employer)
Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Work scope:
  • Perform project monitoring activities at provincial health facilities (referral hospitals, health centers, etc.) and submit reports.
  • Be responsible for planning and management of the project in order to achieve targets in accordance with the approved work plan and monitoring and evaluation performance framework.
  • Manage all aspects of M&E data collection, analysis and reporting on performance indicators by project team members and project counterparts.
  • Carry out administrative and secretarial duties such as speech writing, document draft, translation, facilitating visits from local & international healthcare partners, etc.
  • Perform other tasks that may be required by the office.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Cambodian National, residency in Battambang Province is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in medicine or any related field in health sector, MPH is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in public or private health service (i.e., nurse, midwife, health center staff, etc.), Work experience with NGO or international organization is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and writing skill in English and Khmer, and the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Solid knowledge of project management.
  • Strong budget development, tracking and reporting skills using computerized programs.
  • Strong report writing and data collection skills, as well as interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office.
