Initially established in 1996 as a project of International HIV/AIDS Alliance, KHANA has started operating as an NGO in 1997 and was officially registered as a local NGO in 2000. Since then, it has been operating as a linking organization (LO) of the International HIV/AIDS Alliance which is now known as the Frontline AIDS. KHANA is one of the leading non-governmental organizations in Cambodia that has made critical contributions to the national HIV and TB responses and other health and development related services to key vulnerable and underserved populations in Cambodia. KHANA’s work has been made possible through financial supports from The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM), The L’Initiative, The Stop TB Partnership/UNOPS, Gavi, the US DOS/EpiC, and The Frontline AIDS.

Project Assistant - SAPPHIRE

Position Circumstances

Position Summary

The postholder will be responsible for providing overall operational, logistics and administration support to the field implementation activities (TB screening, contact investigation, health education, and community outreach activities, follow up with program field team). S/he monitors the progress of planned activities and communicates any implementation challenges.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide overall operational, logistics, and administrative support to ensure the smooth implementation of field activities
  • Support field implementation of TB screening activities in target villages
  • Assist field officer in organizing and monitoring contact investigation activities to identify and follow up with individuals at risk of TB infection
  • Support the planning and delivery of health education sessions to increase community awareness of TB prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Support field officer in facilitating community outreach activities
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for field officer, including scheduling, transportation, materials, and supplies required for field operations
  • Monitor the implementation progress of planned field activities
  • Conduct regular follow-up with program field team to track activity implementation, address operational needs, and ensure quality service delivery
  • Identify operational or implementation challenges encountered during field activities and communicate them promptly to the Project Coordinator or Project Manager
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of field activities, logistics, and administrative processes
  • Support data collection and reporting by ensuring timely submission of field activity updates and implementation report
Expected Profile of Candidates
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Community Health Development, Health Sciences, Management, or other related field
Work History:
  • Working on tuberculosis (TB), other health-related, or community-based projects for 2 years as a minimum
  • Project coordination and grant management for 2 years as a minimum
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Demonstrate strong commitment to community health-related work
