USAID/Enhancing Quality of Healthcare Activity II (EQHA II) and the USAID/Community Mobilization Initiatives to End Tuberculosis 2 (COMMIT 2) work in collaboration to improve the policy environment, to institutionalize data for decision making, to improve healthcare processes and patient outcomes across the TB cascade. These two projects activities are aligned in their methods and approaches and as a combined team support greater coverage within Cambodia.

USAID EQHA II is a five-year project started up in October 2023 and led by FHI 360 in partnership with KHANA, Kawsang, ThinkWell, Data Elevates, HACC and SwipeRx. This flagship health project aims to further improve and sustain service quality by strengthening a harmonized Cambodian high quality health system that will lead to better health outcomes for all Cambodians. EQHA II ‘s main objectives are to improve evidence-based policy, guidelines, strategies for more effective and efficient health systems, improve individual and institutional capacity of the public and private sectors to implement, monitor, and evaluate QA/QI according to the national standards, and to improve individual and institutional capacity of subnational health systems to provide quality services to address emerging national program priorities.

Project and National Program Engagement Coordinator (1 Position)

Position Summary

The position is for only National Local Regular

This is a shared Project and National Program Engagement Coordinator, COMMIT 2 position between the EQHA II and COMMIT2 projects with the purpose to align and share approaches and lessons among project activities and teams. This position is under the direct supervision of Quality Implementation Team Lead. The project coordinator will provide technical assistance and coordination for both COMMIT 2 and EQHA II projects to achieve project objectives and serve as focal person to National Center for Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control (CENAT) related elements. Under the ministry of health’s relevant strategic plans and strategic directions, s/he will coordinate the review of existing strategies and work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement new strategies and pilot innovative private sector activities. S/he will work closely with national programs and relevant government departments, COMMIT 2 project partners and other stakeholders to improved programs and services based on international best practices and experience. S/he will provide input and project management of the technical portions of related proposals and project design, based on the design and direction set by technical leadership. S/he ensures COMMIT 2 project activities scope under FHI360 are on track with work plans, with technical expertise informing project implementation, and oversees project timelines and budgets. Assists in the development of donor reports and presentations. S/he will develop performance goals for use by supervisor and monitor progress regularly.

Quality Improvement Technical Officer (1 Position)

Position Summary

The Quality Improvement (QI) Technical Officer will report to the COMMIT2/National Program Engagement Project Coordinator. S/he will support COMMIT 2 project including KHANA and partners in overall QI Technical Assistance (TA) Approach implementation under COMMIT 2 objective 1 workplan activities. S/he will provide technical support in QI institutional capacity building to KHANA and COMMIT 2 partners as well as subnational staff, monitoring, coaching, , coordinating, collaborating, and communicating with government agencies and all stakeholders (both public and private sector) at sub-national level to ensure effective improvement of health services and patient outcomes under COMMIT 2 target areas. S/he will support project team to guide the hospitals to achieve improvements across the TB continuum of care. S/he will coordinate with USAID EQHA II team to ensure on technical alignment on delivering of high-quality pediatric and adult TB screening, detection, and treatment in 10 RHs in new geographies. S/he will support relevant team member in documenting best practice and lessons learned regarding QI TA interventions implementation happening at the health facility level and coordinate with relevant team members in the field. S/he will gather learnings to share back to national program, regional and at international forums.
