Wathnakpheap (WP) is a local Cambodian NGO which was localised from International NGO, SKIP (Pestalozzi Children Village’s Foundation) and was registered with the Government since 1997. Wathnakpheap has more 15 years extensive experience working with a variety of partners, including local NGOs, international NGOs, and private companies, and for a wide range of donors, including government agencies, multilateral organisations and corporate foundations. Wathnakpheap has been implementing projects for 4 program areas such as 1) Community Led Child Nutrition; 2) Education for all; 3) Good Governance and Civic Engagement; 4) Resilient Livelihood.

Currently, we are seeking for a qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Announcement Positions

Project Accountant (1 Position)

Position Summary

Location: based in Head Office Phnom Penh and travel to province.

Salary and Benefits: Salary $ 500- $ 550 - exclude other benefits

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Prepare payment voucher or deposit voucher which occur in head office and consolidate from project office for all donors with proper supporting document and proper filing all supporting document.
  • Post payment voucher and deposit vouch to system (write check) both HQ and summary monthly from project
  • Check petty cash by weekly
  • Prepare Monthly staff payroll
  • Prepare Tax salary post on E-Filling &NSSF
  • Process bank transfer to provincial office
  • Present project financial disbursement to donors or partners.
  • To present project financial disbursement to donors or partners.
  • Liaison with project staff, and stakeholder.
  • Ensure that office equipment and machinery are properly maintained and regularly serviced
  • S/he post payment and deposit voucher in to system (write check ).
  • S/he process bank transfer to province office.
  • S/he check financial report from project to ensure proper report.
  • S/he conduct field visit to project sit to support technical and monitoring to improve the project account both supporting document and system to make comply with WP and Donors guideline.
  • S/he liaison with project staff, and stakeholder
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Graduate of bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or 2 years relevant field work with NGOs.
  • Leadership qualities, personnel, team management and communication skills (including mediation and conflict resolution).
  • Interpersonal skill, honesty, and be able work under pressure and patient in work performance.
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written Khmer and English, Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Internet and Email) and.
  • Know in Quick book or Peachtree Accounting System
  • Fluency in local languages and English is preferred.
